Had a nice long trip for Thanksgiving to BCV. Our son and I arrived around noon and our 2 bedroom was ready. Needed 2 queen beds and they had one available. We were joined by our other son that night, my husband arrived on Sun eve and sons's friend later that night. The room was 377. N/S last one at the end of the hall. We had our exercise walking between the room and elevator and using the exit stairs. The TV did not work in the LR. Called and had it fixed. Late that night I realized the TV in the master did not work either, but waited until the AM to call. We had a problem with the dishwasher. It would not drain after the rinse cycle. They had to come 3 times and each time said it was fixed. 3rd time it was. Our refrigerator would not get cold enough. They had to bring another one. The room was missing some things but all were brought by housekeeping right away, including a new toaster. Ours was broken. After all that the first two days the rest of the week was great. It was crowded, but expected that. I had never seen the lobby so crowded. People were sitting on the floor. I don't know if that was the line for the Clambake or what. The lobby in the YC wasn't like that at all. I had Thanksgiving Dinner catered by www.orlando-chef.com and it was wonderful. Denise brought our dinner to the lobby and came to our villa with me and unpacked the whole thing. She was great to work with via email and we had a home cooked meal in our "home away from home". We had plenty of leftovers and the guys enjoyed the football, while I enjoyed not cooking. We had dinner out at Jiko, Flying Fish, Palio's and the new Irish Pub. The guys enjoyed PI, ESPN and the Piano Bar. We enjoyed the Ale and Compass and the Bellevue Room. It took until Mon AM early entry to get on Soarin. We went twice. The lines were too long for many things and the fastpasses were hours later. That is one of the best things about DVC. You know you will be back, so you don't need to do everything each trip.A good time was had by all.

We looked out over the road and the building for soarin. We were the last room on the floor and we had an exit door that was right by the parking lot for the villas. We walked up and down the stairs to get to the bus stop and car. The view was not too good, but we have had other trips with excellent views, so figured it was our turn to have a bad one. We also had a small balcony that only was off the living room. 2 chairs doesn't work for 5 adults.

We found that couldn't be more true. Much more relaxing and enjoyable trips.

Just curious, how much was your catered dinner and for how many people if you don't mind??

Thanks for the report.

There was 5 of us, DH, DS 28, DS 30, DS's friend 29 and me. We had turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed pot, candied yams, corn, green bean casserole, white turnip, cranberry, rolls, butter, apple pie, pumpkin pie and shrimp and cocktail sauce. With delivery it was around $150. I will certainly use Denise again.

That's very reasonable. Thanks. Always nice to have another option.

I hope it wasn't in that order! I don't know why but i laugh when i think of everyone finishing their pies and handing them a shimp cocktail. :) That's alot of food and alot of variety.
