Day 3 - 8/24 – We decided to go to BB today. We are rested up and ready for some fun! We ate breakfast at the food court and got to BB about 10:30. It was hot :sunny: already!!!!! I thought the Ski Patrol area sounded like the best option to start. Both DD and I are chickens…..we won’t even go on Splash Mountain!! We’ve never been to BB before so we passed the place where you pay for the locker and had to backtrack I got the last chaise and dragged it into the shade…..got a couple of dirty looks for that. :scratchin Not sure why.
Did I mention it was HOT? :sunny: DD hopped onto the ice bergs and I got in the water….the wonderful ,cool, refreshing, not like hot bath water but not freezing either water…..it felt so good. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. :cloud9: Ok enough of that.

After going on the icebergs a few times, DD wanted to try the slides. But everytime she tries something new, she’s scared. I figured I’d go down with her the first time and then just wait for her in the water….oh no no no….DD dragged me back up to the slides about 6 more times. It was fun… Then we went on the tube ride…3 times….pretty tame…perfect for us! Tried to talk DD into trying the t-bar drop but she wasn’t interested. Then we decided to try Teemboat Springs. Waited about 25 minutes for the chair lift…once I was on, I remembered that I’m afraid of heights! :scared: But, I just talked the ear off of the guy who sat next to me to keep my mind off it. LOL. Then we waited another 15-20 to get on the ride. It was great..dd laughed the whole way down .

Then we tried to get tubes for the Lazy River….wow…easier said than done. We were waiting our turn in line, but people were pushing past us and just climbing in the river and wading upstream to get tubes. We finally got one, then someone suggested to go to the next entry point, there were plenty there. So we headed there…..it was worse. Took 15 minutes just to get a tube. Finally we got in the Lazy River. I wasn’t impressed. The water was kind of yucky - stuff floating by. It started to sprinkle towards the end of our trip down the Lazy River. So we got out and headed for the wave pool, which was the last thing we wanted to do before going back to the hotel.
All of the sudden the sky opened up and it started pouring and then the thunder and lightening. :umbrella: Needless to say, they closed everything down. So we headed to the food court, got something to eat and went back to the hotel to get ready for dinner.
We had a 5:00 ressi for Hoop Dee Doo review. We left our room at 3:45, took the bus to MK and then hopped right on the boat for FW. :boat: We got there at 4:55. The busses really do eat up a lot of time. Since I only made the reservation 1 week before we were going, I figured we’d have bad seats – behind a pole or something. But to my surprise, we were seated towards the front on the left side at a little table for two. We could see everything perfectly. DD would not let me say it was her birthday, because the guy was asking for anyone who had an August 24th birthday (hers was the 23rd). She didn’t want to be dishonest (gotta love it). The show was great. We had salad, fried chicken, bbq ribs, baked beans, rolls with sweet butter… I liked the food , DD didn’t, but she’s a picky eater. She loved the Strawberry Shortcake for dessert though!! I’d originally planned to do the hay ride and the campfire, but it was just too hot. So we took the boat back to MK and the bus back to ASM. Got back about 8:45. Had an unpleasant surprise in our room…which I won’t go into here but there is a post about it on the Disney Resorts thread if you want to know. After we got resettled in a new room, we went for a swim and got to bed about 11:00. That’s it for now….Day 4 to come soon. :flower1:

How did I miss your first 2 days' reports? My kids had mixed reviews on the dinner there too - DS15 was thoroughly bored but I think it was because we pulled him away from Epcot :p

Am anxious to hear more - any pics to post?

Just wondering is TeamBoat Springs is scary?

Is just a long ride or is it actually steep?
