Night 1 arrived at 8.50pm, Carried luggage to Magical Express as it was late at night and wanted pj's when we got there :) We were at Terminal A, Had to go all they way to Terminal B, HAH, this was worse dragging the luggage than walking all day in disney!! Could not believe it, zipped up to the Desk and out the door to the bus in a heart beat, and off to the French Quarter by 9.35! Had requested Building 5, 3rd Floor, am a light sleeper and wanted less noise. They had assigned us Bldg 5 fountain view 2nd floor, so asked if she could possibly change it and she gave us Bldg 5, 3rd floor and it was a view of trees and the hot tub!! and I loved the Quick walk to the Cafeteria in the morning let me tell you! A hop, skip and a Jump!!

Last time I stayed at French Quarter we had Bldg 7, 1st floor, and the buses were sitting there idling at midnight, eek!! Talk about noisy!!

Girls went swimming after, and I was sitting there in my sweatjacket watching them! Then they went in the Hot tub and by Quarter of 11, I said let's go, I had been up since 4am, and went to work ,and then left earlier to catch a plane here :) Nice quiet sleep up there on the 3rd floor :) Any one ready for Day 2, 915am at Magic Kingdom trip report in the nice 78 degree weather??

Hi there, good report so far ~ looking forward to more. Glad you got a quiet location, that makes all the difference in getting your rest.

I love reading report trips! Can't wait to hear more!

Hi!

Thanks for Reading! We didn't have to wait for the bus for long to go to the Magic Kingdom, how sweet! We arrived at 9.15 AM, I wish I knew how to post pictures, cause I had taken 206 of them! :) I also went in April for the Flower Festival with my daughter, I loved it, she said I walk way too much and wanted to rest and not see any fireworks and such, I said Hey we are in disney enjoy every minute of it, that is why I brought her friend along, so we could all have some fun, especially Mom ;) Main street was not crowded, saw some guys in pin striped costumes, singing ,That was cool, have seen them before, I usually go twice a year :) We went right to Splash Mountain, they said temp's were going to drop in the next few days, And we walked right on!!! Of course, I bring my hooded purple jacket so I don't get wet ! :)

We got off,and went right back on, maybe 4 people ahead of us and get back on the ride real quick, I just love this ride!! Thundermountain Is just my favorite coaster, and had read that it would close for 2 days, so I better get on it now , well wouldn't you know it was shut down, they said to come back in a little while, tried 3 more times, closed still, gave up by then :(

Rides we did that day total 7, went inside to where the characters were and we all took pictures, oh my florida friend met me here, and she went on a few rides and took pictures with us with the characters too!

Oh ya, when we went to Cosmic Ray's there was a guy working, near the castle, he had a broom and dust pan, and he had Roller Blades on!! I had never seen that before!!!

Then at 2pm, we jumped on the monorail to ticket transportation to Animal kingdom.

Only 15 minutes to wait for Expendition everest, now I am really excited all these rides in a day and not really a long wait :) Jurassic park and dinorama then Rapid River ride, oh my god, did I get royally soaked, especially my shorts and underwear!! The girls thought this was sooo funny!!

Then we went to mickey's camp, took pictures with all the characters except Mickey, his line was too long.... After that we went to Characters Landing and they had the xmas decorations with Eeyore, Tigger, and Pooh.,

Stopped at the Rainforest Cafe at 4pm, Meal was just okay.... 5.30 Pm arrived at Mgm, and now I am just about dry !!!

It is still light out so I take a picture by Tower of Tterror of the clock and day light, home it is dark by 5.00pm. The Xmas stars are so pretty on the street in front of terror... We waited 15 minutes for Aerosmith, and then the girls went on Terror, and Momsy said meet ya near the gift shop that you girls end out of.. This ride, no thanks! We zipped over to Osbourne lights, and they are just sooooo pretty, all 3 of us snapping away with our camera's.

Still warm out and I am just loving all of it.... They had the Dancing of the lights, and my daughter enjoyed that...

Jumped on the bus at 8.15Pm ,about a half hour wait and 4th bus later we were back at french by 9pm, The Girls went in the hot tub, and I walked around the resort just enjoying it and taking pictures!

Any one Bored yet with my long winded story?? I couldn't believe all we did in one day, cause of low crowds and beautiful weather! Day 3 tommorow! I am tired from all that typing :)

I love the details about POFQ! :thumbsup2 It's so great to hear how much you were able to do. I hope we'll have the same experience in January!

thanks for the report

When I woke up around 6.30 it was pouring out...

I let the girls sleep in, went across the short jaunt to the cafeteria for my coffee, gotta love Bldg 5! Nice and Quiet in the cafeteria at that time.

Grabbed our Poncho's which the girls said they were not wearing! Got to Epcot at 10:15 AM, Cooling looking hedges made of Donald Duck with Xmas lights, Pluto and his house and Goofy, Then went straight to Soarin, No lines!! We walked right on! I love this ride! We grabbed a fass pass to ride again later, and went to Test Track, no lines even the single line was closed!

The ride did take a total of 20 minutes though, cause the cars were just sitting there, we did stop once on the track too.. Then kids did Mission Space, this ride is not for me, when it was new, I went on this around 3pm, and good thing I had not eaten since breakfast, I hated this ride, I felt sick for 2 hours after, so I just bask in the sun perfectly happy sitting there waiting for them!

Waited a few minutes for Energy of Universe, you got to love Ellen...

Went over to The Nemo ride just walked right on, now I was in heavan -no waits... :wave2: This ride was really cute. I love the movie. Club cool for soda samples, I think it was italy that was the nastiest flavor, very bitter. I was cracking up watching this lady's expression when she was drinking it :) Then to Epcot's Ball. We went over to Innovations West for the Free character photo from Disney's Visa. Inside was Minnie, and Goofy dressed in Blue, loved them! We left at 2.30.

Went back to French Quarter, kids said they wanted to relax, Um hello girls this is disney I was saying, they didn't want to listen..... So I got them to go for a boat ride to Downtown Disney, and they took pictures of decorations, and the character statues, and the Lego's and we ate at Mcd's then had Ghiradelli's Icecream, Yum!!

Took the bus back to the resort, and they didn't want to go back to the parks, They went swimming, and I walked around the Resort enjoying the whole theme of it.. They have a very pretty fountain by Building 4. I tried to get them to go back to the Parks for Fireworks, but no way.... I couldn't leave them at the resort by themselves and go myself. We had a lovely day, and the weather was still warm even though it was overcast all day.

I hope you like my report, this is the 1st one I have done, I really enjoy reading everyone else's. Day 4 next...

Enjoying your report ~ sounds like you had some nice quiet times to yourself exploring the resort; I will be staying solo at POFQ for two days next week until my sisters join me; how are the rooms? Did you find them clean, comfortable, etc.?

I cannot wait to just wander around the grounds of the resort also!

Thanks for sharing :wave2:

Thanks for reading, I am glad you enjoyed. Have a lovely time at the Resort, I found it comfortable and nice size for 3 people, it wasn't very clean, the sinks were just wiped down, not cleaned toothpaste was still on it, and the mirrors weren't clean little things like that, Beds made, towels replaced and soap left.

, I have stayed at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness, Pop, POR, and Really like French Quarter and cabins the best.

Make sure you visit the fountain by bldg 1 and 4 at night very pretty. Last December stayed the French and my room was very clean, and we walked over to Boatwright at POR for breakfast and enjoyed the walk and grounds.

Also at night wasthe sound of Clop, Clop and looked out my door, and it was a horse and carriage going by, very pretty on the street with the dim lights from the lamp post. See the little things I enjoyed ;)

Thanks Denise,

Oregon, Brr. ;0) Mom was going to visit us, with her 2 friends, she lives 2 1/2 hours from Disney.,

My Mom and her friends, didn't want to go to the parks, so we all jumped on the bus to Magic Kingdom.

I figured we would hotel hop, to see the xmas decoration, got on the monorail to the contempory, to the boat launch to Wilderness lodge, they all loved this resort, even the girls! The Xmas tree was really tall and pretty, got back on the boat for pick up at Fort Wilderness, then to the Contemporary,

The ladies loved the boat ride, then we hopped back on the Monorail to the Polynesian, The girls really thought the pool was cool, then walked over the Grand Pavillion Wedding Pavillion, it was gorgeous, took some pictures and walked the GF.

They didn't have the Christmas tree up yet, nor all the gorgeous pointsetta's yet in the ground, but they had The Gingerbread house up, it is really neat.

Hey, some kid around 11 years old was eating the gingerbread house, he had frosting on his mouth and was sticking his finger back on it again, so I whispered in his hear, very nicely, I don't think you should be eating this.. They took a long time making it.

Took the bus to DTD, And for this we waited outside the GF 40 minutes!!!! We all were getting antsy, and I swear the bus driver took the long way to get there, just took forever..

We had lunch at the Earl of Sandwich, and it was great, highly reccommded, long wait in line but worth it.

Took the boat back to the resort, and My mom and ladies went home this was around 3.30. Girls went in the hot tub, this was sweat jacket weather.

We were going to go to Mickey's Christmas party, I LOVE going to these!!

We got there around 5.45 PM , Wow, got so see not one but 2 firework shows, boy was I excited.... One for the 7pm closing, then the special one.

We headed to Thunder mountain and did this ride twice, Went to The carousel , and when we were on this, they announced it was sold out, I was looking around and saying to myself, really? it was not crowded at all...

Last year we went on 2 nights and one of the nights, 45 minute line for pictures, and 25 minute lines for rides, and gazillion people every where, was getting pushed and shoved at the fireworks, in all my times for fireworks have never seen it like that. They had tape for lines you could not stand on, was for people leaving park. No tape this time ,and plenty of space to stand and enjoy ,and last year it was not sold out. Oh, ya my 1st trinket for the mickey's party, a striped santa hat with black ears, love it.

Zipped to Snow White, Whinnie the Pooh- My favorite! Mickey's 3-D movie, just walked right in... Small world, then Peter Pan, stopped for Cookies, Apples, and Hot Cocoa, loved that, I had my winter coat on!! Then Amazingly walked right in the room to haunted mansion and the lady played the part perfectly, wouldn't even crack a smile when I said how great she played the part, she said Thank you in that scary voice! Back to thundermountain. This was great no lines, yahoo..... Went and watched the Special fireworks on Main Street, the best , loved loved them!!

Then went over to Space mountain, maybe 20 minutes from start to finish, they were stalling people getting on the ride, that is why the wait... Walked on Buzz light year.

10.45 PM, We left, and OH MY GOD, , the bus driver hauled Butt. Holy Sugar!!! Zipped right through the stop sign, and caught up to another bus, and kept taking his foot off the pedal and then he zoomed up and over to the right left zipped around the right hand corner, our ride was not over yet, most scariest ride yet!!! Finally made it back to the resort safe and sound, a few people were commenting on his driving, First time I ever encountered a bus ride like that!!! Other than that, we had a magical ,fantastic day!!!
