Trip Report 6/1-6/9

We made our way over to A Bug's Land. Neither myself nor my mom had ever been to this area before. We thought the theming was really neat :) We went to It's Tough to be a Bug. DS really liked it, until the spiders dropped from the ceiling. He did not like that part at all.

DS did not want to ride Heimlich's Chew Chew train, but I still snapped a few pics of it

I love how Disney pays attention to the smallest details-even the restroom signs are themed!

After we left A Bug's Land, DS fell asleep. I got myself a mickey shaped ice cream sandwich-my favorite! When he woke up, we wandered around Hollywood.

DS loved Talk with Turtle Crush, but he kept asking me why Crush wasn't talking to him, lol.

We then rode Monster's Inc, twice.

By now it was about 5:30 pm and DS was getting tired. We called it a day and headed out for the evening. Our next trip will be WDW with both grandparents. Can't wait for that!

After our two days at the DLR we spent some more time with family and then headed down to San Diego. We spent a day at Sea World and a day at the beach. I won't go into too much detail with those since this is a Disney forum but here are some pics anyway ;)

Overall

Overall it was a good trip! I have traveled a lot (4 times to DLR, 1 time to WDW, 4 times to Mexico, many trips to Las Vegas, many trips to Cali, 1 cruise to the Bahamas, and many many roadtrips throughout the US to everywhere except the northeast) being in my mid 20's I feel like that is a lot of travel. However traveling as a mommy is quite a different experience! I have always been sort of a commando traveler (usually stay at the Disney parks until midnight when possible, and don't miss a single thing), but having a little one meant taking things slow, missing certain things, following the child's lead etc. The funny thing is I didn't enjoy myself less, I actually found that I noticed the little details this time that normally I miss. I also took a lot more pictures than I normally take. It's definitely a different type of travel, and it's a lot harder! I'm glad I have all the traveling experience prior to being a mommy. Had I waited to travel until after having kids, I may have been overwhelmed!

Looks like you had a great trip even if the days were shorter :) And your son is a cutie, glad to hear he was well behaved and enjoyed so many dark rides.

After the zoo, we picked up burgers from a local burger joint, Habit Burger. They were the best fast food burgers I've ever had anywhere! I'm not a big burger person, and I actually enjoyed these burgers.

We have Habit Burgers here in AZ. I agree, so good! Loved the TR! Thanks for posting!
