5/22 - Drove down from Sacramento and visited a few sites in LA before heading over to Anaheim and checking in to the Anaheim Marriott. Had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory before heading over to Downtown Disney. Spent this night shopping.
5/23 - At 7:00am we joined the boarding group for ROTR and got Boarding Group 27. Checked-in to the Grand Californian around 8:15am and was able to snag the last parking spot in the underground garage. Room wasn't ready, but they gave us our keys and said they would text me when our room was ready. Got in line to Disneyland around 8:42 and was in the park at 8:47. We were never in line longer than the posted time. Most times the wait time was 10-15 min shorter than what was posted. It can be a little confusing finding where some lines start. The CM's need to do a better job with this. Other observations: Social distance markers seemed to be more of a suggestion than a rule to follow. I couldn't believe how many times someone would be right behind us in line or the person in front of us would be right up on the group in front of them. Most times the markers don't really work because people should be lining up on the markers standing side by side, but instead line up behind the marker and stretch out to the marker behind them. Mobile ordering worked well for us, but we only used it for Dole Whips and would place our order first thing in the morning. Saw Jhene Aiko on this day
5/24 - Got in line to California Adventure around 8:51am and was in the park at 8:58am. This day was HOT!!!!!! Nothing really exciting to report. One gripe I had was we went to eat lunch in Downtown Disney and headed back to California Adventure at 12:45pm. Soaring was showing a wait time of 20 minutes and we wanted to take advantage of the wait time. However, because people from Disneyland started to line up early to park hop, we had to wait in line with them and couldn't enter the park until about 12:55 when they started letting guests in. They should have a line for returning guests. I spoke with the manager that was monitoring the lines about this and she said she thought it was a great suggestion to have a line for returning guests. She was probably just saying this to pacify me, but come on, why should returning guests get punished?
5/25 - At 7:00am we joined the boarding group for ROTR and got Boarding Group 34. Again, nothing really exciting to report other than getting bumped in line by Tyga, Amber Rose, and their friends on the Incredicoaster. We were at the front of the line and they walked in across from us and took our car. We saw them again at Disneyland on Splash Mountain.
5/26 - Checked out and headed home. Saw the guy still on the overpass on I-5 who was threating to jump. Glad they were able to talk him down.
Overall, it was good to be back. Wearing a mask at the park is not fun. Especially, on hot days. Being able to eat/drink only at designated areas is another negative. The first time we got Dole Whips, we couldn't find a designated area to eat and the whips were starting to melt. Disneyland needs to let you eat/drink wherever you want, as long as you are stationary. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.
