Just returned from WDW - Had a WONDERFUL, exhausting vacation! :cool1: It was just myself, DH, and DS (4).

We stayed at POR, and LOVED IT! We stayed in Acadian House, in a corner room with a view of both the pool and the river. It was clean (no mold) and quiet. About a 5 minute walk to the main building where the restaurants are...but it was a pleasant walk so we didn't mind.

Arrived late afternoon on Wednesday - as soon as we checked in we went to Epcot. Ate dinner at Le Cellier - had a FANTASTIC NY strip steak and mushroom risotto. Stayed for the fireworks which were ok but we were exhausted from our long day so we probably didn't enjoy them as much as we could have.

Went to MK on Thursday. The crowds were not bad at all - we fastpassed as much as we could to avoid waits. The longest we waited in a line was 25 minutes, and that was for Peter Pan. We spent most of the day in FantasyLand/Toontown (great for seeing Characters), although we did make it to the Buzz Lightyear and Stitch rides over in Tomorrowland None of us cared for the Stitch ride - it was pretty scary for a 4 year old, and many parents left in the middle of their ride with terrified, screaming little ones. At dinner that night at Boatwrights at POR - not bad but not overly impressed with the food (I had the maple glazed chicken, my DH had the ribs).

On Friday we went to MGM, where we encountered no lines or crowds. Enjoyed the Lights! Cameras! preview show...although my DS's favorite part of the day was the parade - with the Power Rangers! We made a last minute PS for the Brown Derby after the parade, where we enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing dinner. The lamb was delicious!

On Saturday, we met friends at MK. Got there right at opening and rode the Buzz Lightyear ride several times without a wait. Fastpassed Space Mountain in between rides on Buzz. By mid-day the park was very crowded and the waits were getting long, so we skipped much of Fantasyland (65 minute wait for Peter Pan!) and went on to Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. Fastpassed Splash, went on Big Thunder, then as soon as we got off Big Thunder, we got Fastpasses for it. Then over to Splash Mountain...no wait with the Fastpasses! As soon as we got off Splash, it was time to go back to Big Thunder Mountain, so we Fastpassed Splash again. We were able to rider Splash Mountain twice and Big Thunder Mountain twice, with only the initial 35 minute wait for Big Thunder Mountain! Walked right onto Pirates of the Caribbean. Dinner on Saturday night was pizza in the room - we were pooped!

On Sunday we went to Animal Kingdom. No crowds. We didn't Fastpass anything here - got right on the Safari without any problems. I loved the safari - we got to see several elephants, giraffes, and my DS's favorite, the crocodiles! We also saw the Tribute to the Lion King, which was terrific - highly recommend it.

On Sunday evening we took the boat from POR to Downtown Disney (very nice ride) where we played with Legos, shopped a little, and ate at the Portobello Yacht Club - another last minute PS that worked out great for us.

Home on Monday : (

Can't wait to go again! :earsgirl:

I enjoyed your report. Isn't the food at Le Cellier great? I think that's the best meal I've had at WDW.

IA with you...can't wait to go back!
