We left home and got a taxi to Norwich airport, had a nice lunch nearby then waited for our flight. We were v excited about flying as kids had never flown before. All on board for a great flight enjoyed by all.
Into cdg where the kids had great fun on the moving escalator floors:yay:, we met our friends who had flown from Bristol and our trusty bs transfer guy was waiting (thanks for recommendations). He was parked just outside the door so all very straight forward. He made good time (also known as speeding) and soon the balloon was in sight:cloud9: .

Check in was fine and i was pleasantly suprised with the standard of the room (santa fe) after having read some bad reviews. Having stayed at sl last year there was very little difference and our block was in good distance from reception block and walk to the park.

Quick unpack and freshen up then we headed to the park. We got into mk about 7, able to make the most of the emh. It looked amazing with it just being dusk and all lit up. We done the half board option so headed for plaza gardens where we had a buffet dinner, service was good, food was ok, i had fish which was nice. Odd that they give the kids drawing pads and crayons when you're leaving though, usually given when you arrive to keep them amused but hey ho.

We then just wandered taking in the atmosphere and enjoying the magic of the park when it is lit up:love:

Off back through the village with a stop in the shop for ds to purchase a sword with authentic sounds and dd got a cinderella figure set.

Took the walk back to the hotel where we got some bottled water and a few beers:woohoo: .

Tucked the kids up in the double bed together which they thought was great fun for tickling, hide and seek and generally anything but sleeping so i put top cover in between them because i was ready for my sleep and needed my energy for our first full day.......

We have stayed at Santa Fe twice and always been happy with our room as well.

Good start to your trip
