Well, we had a real good time this trip, but man was it crowded. We have gone for Thanksgiving quite a few times and thought it was crowded, but this was crazy. We just tried to combat it by going into the park early and coming back in the evening. We ate at the Blue Bayou, Rainforest Cafe, Tortilla Joes, and Steakhouse 55. All were good, but being a vegetarian, my choices are limited. At the BB I asked what I could get and she suggested the monte cristo without the meat. I wasn't sure about it, but man was it good. Everyone else at the table wanted a piece. We stayed at the DLH in a standard room, but I requested the Marina tower and could watch the fireworks from our bed. Overall great trip, but next time we will wait until the slow time.

Nothing yet, but the monorail still was only working part of our trip and only on half the track. They mentioned something about it on the parade show yesterday, but I ddin't catch when it was to open.

How was torilla Joe's? I have wanted to try it but haven't made it there yet.

The food is good, but don't get the margaritas. There is something wrong with the machine or something because our table and the one next to us had to send them back twice. Maybe they will have fixed it by then. If you go at the right time, they have a girl coming around and making balloon animals for donations. The kids got a total kick out of it.

I would also suggest that you get the food at the walk-up window of Tortilla Joe's. The service is fast and the food is good. Prices are very reasonable (for DLR :) ) and large enough portions that you can share. We (a family of four) buy a couple of things--chicken nachos, tacos--and split. Just the right amount of food!

I think Tortilla Joe's sit-down is not that great.

We had dinner at Tortilla Jo's about a month or so ago. It was a Sunday evening and we had 7 in our party. My 13 year old twin nieces just ordered tortillas and rice, as they weren't very hungry. My boys both ordered kids' meals. DH got a combo plate and my sister and I were both going to order nachos. The waiter asked if we were very hungry, since the nachos are huge, so we decided to share an order (and it was plenty, with leftovers). I must say, the place was full, but the service was incredibly great. The waiter was very friendly and helpful and even got the balloon guy to come over to our table before we left. I would definitely eat there again.
