Have you ever booked a trip in advance, done extensive planning and been so excited and then with 2 weeks to go you are not feeling excited anymore??

All the time. I get swept up in the moment of planning -- then hate to actually leave my pets and home. I get riddled with guilt, seeing their sad little faces when we get the suitcases out of the attic. :guilty:

It happens to me all the time because I hate flying so much. Always worth it in the end though and get back ready to plan the next trip.

That has never happened to me. I find that I get a little excited a week before, then I start to panic. I start to think of everything, what I might have forgot etc. The morning when I get up to get ready and the limo gets to the house, the fun begins! :goodvibes

The anticipation and planning are a big part of the fun! It is kind of disapointing when that comes to an end. Plus I think we try to protect ourselves from the possiblity that it won't be as much fun as we have been imagining during our extensive planning.
You could say reality bites!

I went through that a few times with my June trip to WDW. You just can't maintain that level of excitement for very long, but I think you'll get it back.

Yes, this has happened to me a few times. However, once I'm at my destinanation, the excitement comes back!

I'll be leaving in less than a week. I was really excited up til about a month ago, then lost it. It's back full force now!
