Okay planning our first trip to DL for President's Day weekend in 2009. Is the crowds tolerable during that time? I heard Feb. is a good month to go but didn't know how a holiday weekend would be. Thanks for the input. :)

Did you mean 2008? We are going in Feb, too. But, after Presiden't Day weekend. We went in February last year, and it was great! Much better than 2004 when we went in April. When we went last Feb there was barely waiting for anything, we had a wonderful time. And surprisingly the weather was beautiful the whole time.

We were there in Feb 06 during Super Bowl weekend. The crowds were a little more than I had hoped for. However, during the weekdays (Thursday and Monday), it was much less crowded.

Nope I did mean 2009....lol ;) I like to plan awhile....hehe Plus have the money to do the things we want to do when we are there. I work for the school system and have my three kids that we are planning to do something like this when the kids and I are out of school for a four day weekend. We are planning on arriving Thurs. night and then leave Sun. afternoon to spend our last day in Vegas before we leave back out Monday afternoon. :woohoo:

Very cool. I need to get into planning ahead like that, lol, good for you. I think that will be a good trip for you, and while it might be a little more crowded on the weekend days, it will definitely not be anywhere near where it is during "peak" season.

Vegas is a blast as well, I lived there for several years, lots of stuff to see!

It is very crowded as most holiday weekends are. Lines for major attractions will get up there around 60+ minutes in the peak of the day. However, because it is a peak time, entertainment will be going in full swing which means fireworks, Fantasmic, Aladdin, Electric Parade, DL Parade, etc. Arrive early (#1 tip), use FP (#2 tip), and you will be fine.

Very crowded. So crowded that AP holders are blacked out unless you've got the Premium. Just know that you will have to use fastpasses and wait in lines and you will be fine.

:worship: Thanks for the input. I think we still might keep it for that weekend. The only other weekend that we have four days off to do this in would be Martin Luther King day weekend in Jan. Probably the same that weekend as well so it probably just means go and have fun and expect a crowd.:grouphug: Oh well I'm sure we'll still have a blast. I've been to Vegas and it was a lot of fun. We are wanting to take the kids to Excalabur for sure. My hubby hasn't been either place so I think we all will have a grand time. Again thanks for the input and if I think of another question, I'll be sure to ask all of you.;)
