Greetings to all of my fellow DISers :)

I am starting to plan our next family trip to the "World", but I can't decide between staying at GF, WL or doing a split stay. I was all set to stay at GF, but a friend of mine who stayed there this winter said that the atmosphere is stuffy, and the CMs are rude.....

I've stayed at the WL before and LOVED all of it (ESPECIALLY the CMs!!!! ) Can I get opinions about the atmosphere and CMs from people who have stayed at one or both of these resorts!

Thanks,

SmilingMouse

Hi Smiling mouse,

I have stayed at bothe a few times. The GF has mostly been for business, so I've always gotten a decent rate. However, I must say, my absolute favorite is the WL, especially if going with kids. The GF is elegant, beautiful, and polished. The WL is so warm, welcoming, and far more relaxing IMHO. I also much prefer the dining choices and pool at WL. Granted, the GF has the monorail which is a plus, but we actually enjoy the boats just as much.

No matter what, you can't go wrong! Have a wonderful time

The GF is agreat place to stay, I loved it. There are Alice in Wonderland characters on the bedspreads, there is an orchestra, you can see the Castle from the GF(that makes it worth it to me) and it has a really special feel, if you want a romantic? family vacation(kind of an oxymoron) this is the place, it is very relaxed, people wak around in shorts and t-shirts and the cm's are the nicest in disney.
