I need help planning our trip. Neither my husband or I have been to WDW before and I am feeling overwhelmed with planning our daily activities. We have 2 kids, 4 and 7. We will be there from feb 3 (arriving late in the day) and staying until feb 8. We have 5 days. In that time, we want to go to MK and AK, Universal Studios, Sea World, and possibly Busch Gardens. I also really want to do the princess and pirate party. (Do you need separate tickets to get into MK also or do the P&P tickets get you in the park?) Okay, my husband also wants to go to Medieval Times, which is at 6:00. What park is best to go to that we can still get back to the hotel and dressed for that show?

We definitely want to go to MK the first day we are there (feb 4), but after that, I am not sure what order to do things. If we do the P&P party, it is on feb 5 at 7:30, so not sure what park to be at that day. HELP!!!!! I am stressing!! Any ideas are GREATLY appreciated!!!!!!

Are you staying in a Disney hotel? or where will you be.

We are staying at the All Star Sports. And, yes Busch Gardens can go! Do I need another pass to get into MK or do the P&P tickets get you into the park?

WOW -- that's a huge itinerary. Here's my 2 cents to help get the ball rolling:

1. Get a guidebook that covers all of those parks, so you know what to expect and what attractions will work for your family -- they are all huge places.

2. Here's a thought on a schedule:

2/4 Magic Kingdom - you need admission seperate from P&P tix

2/5 Animal Kingdom & P&P Party -- Your P&P Party tickets are your admission for the party & park at MK. Need seperate admission for AK. You may be able to squeeze in time between touring AK and the start of P&P to swim.

2/6 Sea World & Medieval Times: Haven't toured Sea World, but if you start early enough, you should be able to finish to attend Medieval Times.

2/7 Universal Studios: I believe there are 2 parks -- Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures. Research which one your family would enjoy-- I think either would take a full day. Also check out any deals on admission -- sometimes they offer admission packages, like 2 for 1 to IOA as well as Sea World.

2/8 What time are you leaving? I am assuming you are flying. If you aren't dropping from exhaustion, traffic, distance and time constraints may prohibit further park touring (Busch Gardens is in Tampa), so don't forget to take time to relax and maybe swim if you have time before your flight.

I made a mistake with my dates we are arriving on feb 2, so feb 3 would be are first day there. Leaving out Busch Gardens gives us 1 day off. Is it smart to take a down day and stay at the hotel and let the kids swim? Total we have 5 whole days to spend down there. Believe it or not, we are driving from ND, so we will be sleeping in on the 8th and then packing up and taking of for our long drive home.

You may want to consider a down day in the middle of your trip or a day or so before your big drive. I would plan on swimming -- kids see a pool, and they want to swim!! You could also check out Downtown Disney.

Also, look at your admission options for both Universal and Disney. With Disney, the more admission days you purchase, the more you save, plus you have EMH as a resort guest. Or you could have a day for Universal Studios and a day for Islands of Adventures. I did check the Universal site and they have a combo ticket for Universal and Islands of Adventure, but you would need to research that to see if it makes sense for your family.

You could also do Medieval Times on your down day and that could give you 3 times to swim (on your AK & PP Party day, on down day and Sea World day...and maybe even before you leave).

I guess the place to start is figure out how you get the best bang for your admission dollars at Disney, Universal and Sea World and how conditioned your family is for all of this touring!

I think if you really wanted to you could do all that you want to do, but I do think you should definately leave one out also to have a day off. Kids do love to swim and I was told there is so much to see around the resort.
And so the kids don't get exhausted, don't do full days at ALL of these parks. Don't worry your kids will let you know if they've had enough, I know mine always do.

You are going to have a great time. The one thing I would be sure to do is put identification on my kids. I know it is scary to think of losing one of them but.... I lost mine. Thankfully I had read on here to put something on their shoes with name age and number to reach you. Don't panic. THey are great with lost kids. If lost your child may be tooo upset to tell anyone what they need to know. I had a index card with all information tied onto their shoes ( I have twins) They took DD to the station to call me and I went straight to get her. THis was the best advice anyone passed to me. HAVE A GREAT TIME.........
