Hi All,
I am a college student from the USA, and I will be going on a trip to France in May (FOUR WEEKS from today!). As part of the school trip, we have a three-day weekend (May 25 to 27) to do whatever we want in Europe. I am quite the "Disney freak" so I would like to go to Disneyland Paris. However, I am not familiar with transportation systems in Europe, nor am I familiar with the ticketing system for Disneyland Paris.

What is the most efficient way to get from Dijon (where we will be staying for most of the trip) to DLP? We are all college students on a limited budget, so keeping it as inexpensive as possible would be ideal.

Where would you recommend that we stay? I understand that the Disney hotels include park admission also, so is it a much better deal to stay there than somewhere offsite? Also, how does the transportation from the hotels to the parks work?

Thanks for your time and help,

Jeff

go to www.sncf.com and put in your dates. A youth ticket Dijon to Marne la Vallee is around 26 euros (trip simple or one way) for the 90 minute trip. You may find a better fare for a return trip. This is on the TGV which may be a little more pricey but the quickest way to travel.

Have you been in Paris before, or will you see it on your trip? I would not recommend omitting a trip to Paris, in favour of seeing Disneyland Paris. If you have two free days, spend one in Paris and one in DLRP.

Offsite hotels are the best value; they do have busses which run to the parks. DLRP hotels are more expensive - you cannot book room only from the USA unless you go to www.expedia.de or www.expedia.co.uk to see room only rates. Packages bought on the DLRP official site include tickets for TWO days, so if you are doing one overnight and one day, it is not best to buy a package that way.

Our itinerary includes a couple of days in Paris, so this would not be taking the place of that. It looks like the USA Expedia.com site also sells Disney rooms, and that it includes park admission (if i read correctly)... If we stay two nights, does that mean we get three days of park tickets?

Thanks!

if the package includes ticket, yes. But I was referring to the other sites as they sell room only rates. That way if you arrive late in the day, or leave early in the morning, you are not paying for something you do not need.
