Hey everyone,
In April I'm getting married at Disney World, and honeymooning there after. I am a 20+ trip veteran of Disney World, but I haven't been in over five years. My fiancée has never been to Disney World, and I'm hoping to use the honeymoon to introduce her to something I love in the best and most thorough way possible. My fiancée is also a former professional chef (she went to culinary school and spent 10 years in the fine dining industry), and living in Seattle we are both exposed to a lot of great food, so I'm trying to also get the best food experience possible.
Even though we're going to be there for something like 10 days, I'm really working hard to make sure we get in the best restaurants. Even though we have a while before the ADR window opens up for us, I am starting planning early to give myself plenty of time to get things right.
One of the tougher ones for me is breakfast places. Most mornings we'll be grabbing something quick at the resort (pastries, coffee, fruit, etc.) and heading to the parks. But, on our relaxation days, we'll probably head out for breakfast. In the past, I've enjoyed eating at Chef Mickey's (I remember when it was originally located in the Downtown Disney area), but I've read some lackluster reviews of it. Still, this would be a good chance to visit the Contemporary resort and do some exploring, though we're probably also going to eat at California Grille one night. On the other hand, I've heard some quite good things about Tusker House, including that it has some more unique breakfast options.
So, in the context of two adults on their honeymoon looking for a good breakfast (after sleeping in that morning) on a day where we're likely to be just exploring resorts and not spending any time riding rides in the parks, what would you pick? And, for those of you who cast a vote, I'd be interested to know why you picked the one you did.
