Hey everyone, I went to DLR on Sunday for the afternoon/evening with some of my friends. It is so great being so close to DLR and having a pass!! :cool1:

Anyway, here are some notes:
-It was raining most of the evening, which was slightly annoying, but the lines died down very quickly. We walked on to Splash. Soarin was also a walk on at around 8PM, so we did that twice. Now for the big shocker, Toy Story was a 5 min wait around 9PM; we did that twice as well! Never have I ever seen such a short line for TSMM. It was awesome!

-Finally broke the 200,000 score for TSMM on my last ride

-Because it was so empty towards the evening, and we had WoC FPs for the 2nd show, we showed up 20 min before the show and got great views!

-TRONcore was AMAZING!!!! It made all of us want to go see the movie. Unfortunately, didn't get to check out ElecTRONica, but I'm going in a couple weeks so I will scope it out then.

-Ate at the Pacific Wharf cafe for the first time. The bread bowls were yummy! :cloud9:

-Big Thunder's line has been changed so that the FP cuts more of the line now, and there's kind of an awkward merge in the stand-by.

-I'm super pumped for DCA's 3 new projects: Buena Vista Street, Ariel's Undersea Adventure and Carsland.

Ok, now for some pics:

Cool... maybe the lines won't be so bad when we go; only 10 more days for the week before Christmas........ well one can dream right :)

Thanks for the cool pics too

So of the three park changes you listed, which do you look forward to the most? I know, you rather another option, MM to GSS, since it is going to be the greatest attraction in the park???

Which do mind the most seeing and working around, while they work on it?

Sounds like a good visit ~ your fotos are lovely **I need a nicer/better camera**

Don't give up hope! My camera is really not that good either. It's a basic PowerShot SD550 that's probably 4 years old (I don't think they sell them anymore). I've just played around with it a ton and found tons of different settings.

I am definitely looking forward to Carsland and Radiator Springs Racers the most. I am a huge Test Track fan, so combine that with state of the art Audio Animatronics and the ride is sure to be a hit! Ehhhh, not so sure about GSS :rotfl2:

I would also say that the front entrance is going to be the most painfully ugly construction out of the three simply because it's in a high traffic area and there's really no way around that. Fortunately, it should pay off in the end.

Great pictures! When i first looked at the castle picture i thought it looked like the moat was right there in front of the castle because of the water reflection. I was trying to figure out how that was possible (since clearly it's not, lol) but then i remembered you had said it was raining. It just looked like a lot more water to me than a puddle in the street. Very cool picture. I like the one of the California letters too. :thumbsup2

Great photos, thank you for sharing. Good to know that if its a rainy night that there maybe FP left for WoC. I love it when it rains while at Disneyland. We grab a poncho and try not to slip as we go through the parks. :santa:

Thanks for the update and cool pics. :thumbsup2
You always write so well when summarizing your trip.

How are your studies going at USC? My DD graduated this year from Cal State Long Beach. The college years are so much fun. :goodvibes

School has been awesome this semester. I love it here! :thumbsup2 I just finished up 2 of my finals and now I have to wait around for Wednesday to take my last one. My classes went well and I already have an internship. Also, I've met so many cool friends, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to go to USC. Plus, being so close to DLR doesn't hurt! (I've been twice during low-crowd seasons-September/early December and I never had been during those times before)

Love your WoC pics and the castle pic with the reflection from puddles. Nice!

Glad you are enjoying USC. As for being near DLR, I was at the Park the other night with a friend who has lived in So Cal her entire life and is considering a job transfer to Texas. She said one of the hardest parts of the decision is that she is not sure if she could ever live more than a few hours away from Disneyland. You will grow to L O V E being able to sneak in quick visits anytime.

Hope the last final goes well,
Dreams

That is one of my two favoite pics I have ever seen of the California letters. We are going to DLR on christmas day and in our agenda is lots of different pics of those letters b4 they say Goodbye forever. Now after seeing your pics I hope it rains for us at least one day.

Thanks! I hope you have a great time too! I think I will miss the letters, but I've heard that they will be reused in some way that hasn't been released yet. :confused3
