Hello Everyone,
This is my first post and I hope that I have posted in the correct location! My family is planning a trip for November 2007 and I don't know where do I begin. I am a AAA member and I don't know if it is better to book a room directly with Disney, or do I book a package with AAA. We would like to go for a week, possibly stay at Port Orleans FQ. Any help to get me started would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

When the 2007 rates come out for packages (I think it's sometime in August) you can go on the WDW website and get a quote.

Then you can ask your AAA agent what it would cost for the same package and decide which is a better deal.

AAA!!

We booked an AAA package w/ dining for our first trip last month. We stayed at POFQ - loved it!!!

I actually purchased an AAA membership just for the Disney discount. At the time we went, rack rate was $155. Our AAA rate was $131.75. Over 8 nights, this made a HUGE difference! :cool1:

At the time, there was an AP rate of $119 available at POFQ - that's not much less than the AAA rate!

By booking with AAA, we also got the Diamond card, which gave us a 10% discount at Downtown Disney. We bought tons of souvenirs there, and were able to use it at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for DD, so it was a substantial savings for us. When we decided the buy a huge Cinderella castle and have it shipped home because it was way to big to carry, our Diamond Card savings nearly paid for the shipping! :cheer2:

We had a wonderful experience with our agent Stephanie (who is also a DISer! :thumbsup2 ) at AAA Mid-Atlantic and wouldn't hesitate to use her again. The key to booking through AAA is finding an agent who knows Disney - and remember, you don't have to use your local office. We live in Colorado, so we just had our documents mailed to us instead of picking them up. There weren't any service charges, mailing charges or anything. It was awesome!
