The holiday continues, can`t believe that two weeks have already gone by
MONDAY 18TH NVEMBER 2002 PART 14
Today is a quiet drive around day. We went looking for a petsmart superstore and after several attempts of going up and down various roads we eventually found it, dont ask me where it was because we were miles from anywhere up a long road off the I4 somewhere. We wanted to get our Persian some of her favourite catnip which is called Cosmic cat nip which is now nearly impossible to get in the UK so if you ever see any let me know. We also picked up some toys and bit and pieces for our other cats and brought the lovely old Labrador who lives next door (unfortunately passed away in Aug) a really funky lead and collar,( which the new puppy will have the honour of wearing when he is older). We drove back to Kissimmee stopping at various shops on the way that took our interest. Put our feet up for a while, then left to have a look at I Drive. We first stopped at the Mercado which now looks very shoddy and run down compared to 4 years ago and we couldnt find many shops open to look at. We then drove up to the other end to find the large Hallmark shop which I wanted to look around. A very large and well stocked shop worth a visit and next door is a HUGE arts, crafts and scrapbooking shop. We then went back to the Ponderosa where we had arranged to meet a work colleague of mine and her family for dinner at 6. We couldnt believe that even though this was there third visit to florida they had never been in a ponderosa, soon changed that. This ponderosa is a lot more upmarket than the one we use on the 192, our friends couldnt believe how cheap it was and what they got for their money. We had a wonderful couple of hours discussing what we had all been upto before going our separate ways. Driving back to the hotel we noticed that the street Christmas lights they had been putting up since we arrived had been switched on and followed them all the way upto Seaworld area.
We were both very tired tonight and had a hot bath followed by an early night as we have to be up and ready to catch the bus to Busch gardens at 9.30 in the morning.
THOUGHTS. Today was still on the cooler side at 70 with very little sun and we noticed it got very chilly again after the sun went down.
When we came to pack the Cat nip we had a sudden awful thought should we get stopped by customs or what would happen if security wanted to check our cases because cat nip is dried cat nip herb it doesnt look unlike some other illegal stuff. To be on the safe side we made sure we had kept the receipt in a safe place. The cat was real pleased when we got home because although there are other brands for some reason she and the other cats all seem to prefer this one.
Coming next our day at a rather empty Busch Gardens
