Trip insurance

This is the first time I am going to use my trip insurance I bought with the package, my dad isn't doing that great and I just would not have a nice time knowing he he isn't the feeling well. I have had people tell me go, I am only 3 hrs away by plane or if he dies have them hold him on ice ( that was from a relative} what was your experience if any with getting your payment back? Thanks

Will you need to get a letter from his dr. stating that he is ill..Does your contract spell out the terms for cancellation and/or reimbursement. ..We always buy trip insurance but have never had to use it.....Thank Goodness!! I hope everything turns out ok with your dad.
