I think I have seen some people post that DCL's insurance isn't the best way to go...Can anyone tell me why they wouldn't use it, and what company they recommend! TIA!

insuremytrip.com will give you several options. Generally, DCL's insurance is more expensive than that which is available thru some TAs or on line. If you book part of your trip separately, DCL's insurance will cover only what you booked thru them. For instance, if you book air separately, insurance thru DCL will not cover the air. If you book a land package and a cruise separately, DCL's will only cover the cruise.

If you book privately, you can cover the entire trip on one policy.

Remember that some policies require you to purchase within 2 weeks of booking your cruise or they won't cover pre-existing medical conditions.

Ok, thanks for that info. So other than the fact that DCL's is higher than others, I would be safe using DCL's if I'm only doing a cruise with no air or anything else?
