We have a trip to Disney planned for Oct. 2014. We have already booked a room-only discounted reservation at Beach Club through a bounce back offer, but we are taking my mother-in-law and would really like to rent points to stay in a 1 bedroom at BLT instead. However, renting points is non-refundable and we are trying to have a baby. Problem is, if we get pregnant soon, our trip would be too late in the pregnancy to safely travel. However, we've been trying on and off for years and haven't had success yet, so I don't want to not book the place we really want because of something that may not even happen. I was checking out travel insurance on insure my trip. com and I'm still confused. The plans all say on the info page they cover $1000 for cancellation, but when I click on the details it says it covers 100% of trip costs. If I can't go, we plan to cancel and reschedule the trip, but if technically the pregnancy is the reason for cancellation and that only applies to me, would DH and mil still be able to cancel and us receive full reimbursement for the cost of renting the points? Can anyone recommend a plan that would work well in our situation?

I purchase trip insurance for our flights. I can follow the cancellation procedures for the resort, ADRs, etc. and be out nothing. The airline will have all the details for their insurance clearly listed. The insurance is cheaper than the costs associated without.

Thanks. I actually figured out I could change our bounceback (35% off) resort to BLT and book the same room directly thru Disney for only $45 more than what we'd pay to rent points. So we did that, as we have the option to cancel with full refund as late as 5 days before check-in.
