Trip insurance??

Not sure where to post this question...so sorry if I am in the wrong section. But has anyone purchased Disney's trip insurance? I added it on because we will be visiting in August and I heard that it is hurricane season. However, I can't understand all the exclusions. Would I be better off purchasing travel insurance though an independent source? Or though our airline? Any thoughts would help because I am completely confused. Thanks.
