When I made my reservations with MS, I thought the CM said I should get info in the mail about travel insurance and I could then decide if I wanted to get it..I received my confirmation letter but no info on travel insurance :confused3..Do we still get this as members? Should I call MS and ask about this? I only ask as we are traveling from the Midwest in January and the weather has been known to mess up travel plans...

Thanks for you help!

Learn about coverage available for Disney Vacation Club Members.

Put your mind at ease by including travel insurance in your vacation plans. As a Disney Vacation Club Member, you can purchase travel insurance directly from Travel Guard® International. The premiums for the plan are paid directly to Travel Guard International before the reservation cancellation penalty begins. For more information, call Travel Guard International directly, toll-free at (866) 690-6858† and reference Disney Vacation Club ID#007004. The same thing happened to me. We are traveling in February so I do think it might be worth it. I think I will give them a call.

Keep in mind they reimburse only $5 per point, so it may or may not be worth it.

We book air travel with insurance, and purchase additional insurance only when we cruise. Particularly, the medical portion which is beneficial when you are out of the U.S.

For WDW resorts on points, I take my chances :scared1:
