Trip Insurance???????

Hi!

Trip insurance is $518.00 for our two staterooms. Has anyone gone through insuremytrip.com or anyone else in order to cut the cost? Would appreciate the feedback.

YIKES! Look somewhere else! Do you have kids in the rooms? If so, call accessamerica for their AAA family plan. Kids are free. You have to call for that program. You do NOT have to belong to AAA to get this plan. If the rep tells you that you do...insist on talking to a sup. I'm glad that I did. We were covered for 4000 total & it was only 86 for all of us. This is the same company that DCL uses.

We've used Travel Guard and it's definitely MUCH cheaper than what you're being quoted!!

I have used www.insuremytrip.com before, and gone with Travelex several times. Kids under 16 are free.

Yes, there's six of us. Two adukts and four kids ages 10, 8, 5 and 2. I'm going to check their rates. Do they alsocover trip cancellation/Interruption? I know the Passporter says to make sure you're covered for the Carribean.

Thanks for letting us know about the AAA plan. I was already booked with Acessamerica, so I just changed the plan. It is just a little different than the one I originally book, but just as good (750 luggage coverage instead of 1000 and 300,000 emergency medical transportation instead of 500,000). Our total is $3600 and we paying $138 for the two of us b/c dd is free. What coverage did you pick?
