Trip insurance-how much do you get and what does it cost?

How much is trip insurance? How much do you get if you have to cancel. I have a reservation in June that I might not be able to go on because of work now.

Usually insurance only covers medical emergency, loss of a job, death, major weather events etc. a change in work schedule is usually not covered.

Trip cancellation pays the dues on the points lost.

You may want to try to rent out the reservation or the points, you would get more.
