Trip In February, What studio can I get at the 7 Month Mark

DH and I are planning to go to Disney in February, probably before the 15th or 16th. since the points go up a little after the 16th. I think. Does anyone have any idea how busy it is at that time. Would like to stay at AKV standard, or VWL, what would my chances be. We may not even go to any parks, since our AP will have expired. We may just go to get away from the cold and relax. I may miss the parks a little, but I think it will be ok. We will be in a studio. for 5 nites. Sun- Thurs. Any help.

I would just book wherever is available, and waitlist for what you want. I'd think you could probably get something you'd prefer. I recently waitlisted for a 1 bedroom standard BWV during F & W Fest that went through in 3 days

As long as your trip doesn't involve Prez weekend, your options should be good. Just have a list ready of places you want to stay in order of choice. If you are there during Prez weekend, you may be looking at a waitlist. It often only takes 1 day to mess up your plans.

We go every year around this time. Before President's Day weekend it is not busy at all, and you should be able to get a studio anywhere at the 7-month mark. No worries at all.

We decided in November 09 to add a week at the end of Jan at WDW to get out of the cold this year. I called for a studio and asked for BCV. I booked a split stay between BWV and BCV and waitlisted the missing nights at BCV. It didn't take long for the waitlist to come through. WDW was not at all crowded the last week in January so I'm guessing early Feb wouldn't be too bad, either. It was far from being really warm though. Warmer than at home, but still chilly.

I know it was very chilly when we were there in January. DH and I thought we would just go down for the week to get away. We live in Pa. so it is still much colder than Florida. I think I will be trying to get into AK at Jambo, standard view, or WL. I will probably book OKW, since it is our home resort and then change at the 7 month mark.
