Trip in August (have questions)?

Hi there, We are planning our second trip to Disney world for August of this year. We are considering the purchase of an annual passholder ticket (in order to save on our room rate). Has anyone done this, or know if they have discounted rates in August (about the fifth)? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

We went in August, the 2nd until the12th. We stayed in 3 different hotel (POR for 5 nights, Beach club for 2 nights and the Poly for 2) and we got AP rates for all 3 places. I did book through Dreams Unlimited and our agent applied the rates when they came out. Of course we went back in November because we had AP's and now I am planning a trip in July before our AP's run out.
