Trip Help for a first timer :D

Okay was looking at flights from Bristol to CDG with BA Connect, and they already had their flights out for Sept 2007 :S Is this right?

They were £80 per person for returns which I thought was very reasonable.

Will these numbers go up soon probably? Or no? When should I book?

I was basing my advice on Easyjet - obviously BA Connect work differently!!

Hard to tell when the price will go up - depends how soon other people book it. £80 sounds reasonable - so if you know you definitely want to go, I would book it now :)

Thats a good price from a local airport. The prices are usually cheapest at release and tend to increase as the seats are sold and there is less availability.

As BA are being taken over in March you may well find you do not fly on a BA plane but on a flybe one. Would not make any difference to me but thought I would mention it so you are aware who your carriers will be.

I dont know if this applies to Flybe but BA have a check-in kiosk system and on-line check-in at Bristol so you can do it 24 hours before and choose your own seats. Its worth asking if Flybe will carry on with this too.

Depending on your flight time it may also be worth stayinbg overnight. we got a good deal at the Premier Inn at the Airport £50 per night per room, plus you can leave your car at a cheaper rate than the on-site airport.

Okay, pretty much sorted on the flights now, just wondering about the shuttle bus that takes you from the airport to your Disney hotel...do you have to book it or can you just be at the pick up point, get on and pay there and then?

Also, regarding the hotels, if we were to buy something in the park is it possible for us to get them to send the stuff to our hotel so we don't have to carry the stuff around all day? Is there any charge for this?

Thanks again guys x

I'm sure you just turn up and pay. There is a link to their timetable in the Useful Info sticky.

Did you book the Cheyenne in the end? You can arrange for anything you buy to be sent there (free of charge) :)

We sure did...:):)

Are rides more likely to be closed at this time of year? We love all the rides and would hate to miss out.

Closures are only out until June 2007 but its worth keeping this link to try again in Feb/March .

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the link - really useful. Great site aswell.

Just wondering about meal reservations:

I know I've already asked about the Good Morning Fantasyland Breakfasts, but still a bit confused as to when you have to book them. I'm booking everything online, when do I ask for them? Can we do it when we get there?

Also what about other restaurant reservations? Can we do that when we get there? Or do we have to ring before we go?

Sorry for 21 questions, but I'm sure you're all well up to the task of giving me the answers.

Cheers guys :)

Haven't booked online, so I don't know if or when you get a chance to request extras like the GMF breakfast. If you don't, you can just fax a request for the dates you want, after you've made your booking. If you really want to do it, I wouldn't leave it until you get there, just in case.

Other restaurant reservations can probably be left until you get there, unless you want to eat at a particular place on a particular day.

Okay we have booked flights with Easyjet now, and we're spending 5 nights there instead of 4, as I didn't realise that if you simply arrive inbetween the 12th and the 16th of September, you can still take advantage of the extra day and night offer. (I thought you had to be there within the two dates)

We didn't actully end up booking the Cheyenne though, and then we saw the Hotel l'Elysee Val d'Europe and it looked very nice, and were wondering whether to stay there instead. Anyone know what it's like? Do you still get free breakfast in the morning?

It seems as though our two options now are either the Santa Fe or Val d'Europe...what would you prefer to spend 5 nights in?

Thanks for all the help guys, it's all much appreciated :)

I'd choose the SF because, and despite what I've said about it in previous posts, I prefer to be onsite and to be able to take advantage of the little things like the GMF, extra magic hours etc., although I imagine that Hotel l'Elysee Val d'Europe probably has better facilities.
:)

I think we are going to go to Val d'Europe and stay there. One problem though...how do you get there from CDG as we saw the VEA doesn't drop off there?

Also any news on the breakfast?

Thanks for your response Jill :)

To get to Val d'Europe from CDG, just take the train or VEA shuttle to the station at DLP and then hop on the RER for one stop. Or it mentions a free shuttle in the hotel description, which I presume also goes from outside the station.

I'm afraid you won't be able to take advantage of the Good Morning Fantasyland Breakfast - that's only available to people staying at certain onsite hotels. I'm sure you will still get a breakfast at the hotel included in your package if you book through Disney - just not one in the park :)
