Trip for 3 College Students

I was at CSR this past May with my roomate (23), one of my friends (28), and myself (23). We really enjoyed CSR. It was a great place to hang out and enjoy the theme and scenery. Since you say you would be hanging out at the pool and the room, I think this would be perfect. CSR is a huge resort and if we would have had more time to just lounge, I think it would have been great to just walk around and take things in. Request Ranchos 7B for a nice relaxing escape. It was a 2 minute walk to the main pool area and our room was right around the corner from a quiet pool. Hope this helps!!:)

It has been awhile since my last post and sooo much has changed! My bestfriend told me she isn't going to be able to come (her wallet is empty) and my boyfriend and I were very worried. Things add up much faster when only divided by two rather than three. Then my sister and her bestfriend started asking us about the trip and asked if they could join! I just yesterday booked Pop Century - 2 rooms. Split four ways I think it should be great. Also my sister's friend suggested we drive - road trip. (I live in Delaware which is about 1000 miles from Disney) My bf and I are totally game for this idea. We plan to rent a car ($300 total) and drive there and back (no wear and tear on one of our cars). I'm totally siked because plane tickets would ran atleast $200 each plus transportation to and from the airport. This way we can bring as much as we want along and haul as much as we want back home! Also the time constraint isn't there either. My only question to you guys is this - we are planning on leaving May 28th (friday) - and getting home June 7th (monday). Do you think Memorial Day traffic is going to be horrible going down. Are we crazy- would it be worth it to just fly? I sure hope not. Hope to hear from others who have taken the journey and lived to tell!!

Well thank you guys so much for all your help. I think my boyfriend and I will stay at CSR on our next trip alone. The idea of staying in a brand new hotel - less than 1 yr old at Disney just sounds like a lot more fun - plus I got a great rate!!

Thanks!!

Hope you have a wonderful trip! You're obviously having a great time planning this.

Depends on what time you're leaving Friday. Anything after noon will probably be busy, with DC being the busiest. It's a holiday weekend PLUS a Friday. Many people get up super early to get around Washington, DC, or leave at midnight so they're night-driving around that area.

(Does the $300 for the rental car include unlimited miles and consider your age? Most companies have higher fees for drivers under 25. Good luck!)

the $300 does include unlimited mileage - it does not consider our ages bc my sister's bestfriend who is also going with us is 27yrs old so it will be in her name... still trying to think what we will do - isn't fair for only her to drive. i have actually been thinking about skipping the rental and taking my own car. its a little less than 1000 miles down there so it isn't anything major to do to my car... plus it would save even more $$! i am gonna talk to everybody and figure it out....
i have also been thinking about doing (maybe) the meal vouchers - another thing we need to chat about and see if it will be worth it or not.

thanks guys!! :earsgirl: (i'm so excited!!!)

Hope you plan to keep reading this board or mousesavers.com to see if you can get a lower rate. A little extra spending $$$ is always nice!
