I was going through some things in my desk and ran across a POR reservation confitmation sheet. We only paid $88.09 a night in February of 2003. Oh my, how prices have gone up!

10 years later the 2007 prices were not that far out of line with the 1997 concidering 10
years has gone by.
And yes, that statement is JMHO

Wow! Can't even go to a hard-ticket even for that amount now.

I was just surprised how much prices had gone up in just five years. We were paying $88/night whereas those same rooms during that same timeframe would be $149 (+/-). The rate has almost doubled in five years.

Talking about hard tickets, I think they have gone up in percentage more than the rooms. I remember buying a pre EPCOT commemorative ticket good for 3 days for $30! That was the entire price for the three days for an adult and a parkhopper. Well all tickets were park hoppers until recently.

I wish I could get a $35/nt rate at the Poly!!!


1999 & 2000 -- Yacht Club Concierge Level -- in Oct (value season) with AP discount, we paid $189/nt.

My DH was getting faxes from work, and at the end of the pages, they accidentally included the list of who was staying in concierge that night & prices that were being paid! We had to peek before we returned it. There were people up there paying either $89 or $99 a night (CM discount & conventions) and people with the same kind of room we had paying around $350/nt.

I wont go there without some kind of a deal!

I remember paying $103 a night for the Poly in 1988 for our 10th ann. and we thought that was high.
