Trip Could Be Cancelled- Urgently Need Prayers! Or Pixie Dust, or Whatever!

Hi. I hope it's ok to post this here and that it doesn't offend anyone who doesn't believe in prayer or doesn't believe in God or doesn't believe in pixie dust or Mickey Mouse or whatever.

My family is supposed to be going to WDW together to celebrate my mom's retirement. Mom is taking the whole family- Mom, Dad, Me, my three kids, my middle sister, her husband, her daughter, and my youngest sister.

I need to ask folks to pray for my family and my Grandma, my Dad's mom, because we've been planning this trip for months, and now, three weeks out, she is in the hospital with a massive aneurism, but she's had serious complications and has pneumonia, so they can't operate to fix the aneurism, possibly for a week or two, unless the pneumonia resolves quickly! My mom and dad will never leave the state with her in immediate danger, and they will probably not feel like going if she passes before the trip.

I know it may sound like the most selfish thing in the world to pray for her to get better just so we won't have to reschedule this long awaited, possibly once in a lifetime trip, but it's not just that. I don't want to have to watch my dad lose his mom!!! My mom lost her mom, but she's stronger than he is, and it was the most hideous thing I can imagine- she nearly lost her mind as well!

Please join me to pray that my grandmother will be healed completely, that she will be healthy and better than new, and that we will not have to reschedule our trip, unless it's God's will that we NOT go because something bad would happen if we did.

And no matter what happens, please pray for strength for all of us, that we will be able to accept whatever comes and trust God that it's all for the best.

If you're not a praying person, please just send good vibes, warm fuzzy thoughts, light a candle, or whatever you do.

Sending prayers. My mom passed unexpectadly a month after I booked my first trip to Disney World a year and a half ago. I canceled the trip immediately (even though it wasn't for another 10 months). I knew I would never enjoy it. Now we're ready for the trip again and leaving in 8 days. I feel like I might actually get to be happy again but I still miss my mom so much.

Hello all! So very, very appreciative of all the prayers and thoughts! My grandmother is doing a little better, and the doctors think they may be able to operate to fix the aneurism within a week or so, and if that goes well, she should be healing fine by the time it's time for us to leave for the trip.

It's still a serious situation- my mom said that the aneurism is so big they cannot imagine how it has NOT ruptured. I think I know!

Please continue to remember us- it is so much appreciated!!

I know how your feeling! I lost my father, very unexpectedly the night we were flying to Disneyland for my aunts 50th birthday. We were in line at walgreens, paying for a birthday card, when we got the call. Needless to say we didnt get on the plane. Seven months later, the same aunt took my fiance' and I to WDW and treated us like royalty. I sure needed some happy time.

My grandma was supposed to have surgery today, but she has fluid collecting around her heart and lungs, and the surgeon said the lung doctor would have to get that off before she can have surgery. Hoping and praying that it will be in the next few days.
