Trip coming up in 19 days!

Hi everyone, I am new to this board. I have been to Disneyworld at least 11 times when i was younger. My mom is a Disney fanatic and I have never had a bad experience at Disney.

Anyway, my friend is going to Iraq in January and we are going down to Disneyworld on November 23 and returning the 28th. We know some girls that work at the parks doing different things (one plays Jasmin!) anyway its been a while since I have been, looking for any helpful updates or anything fun we could do (as college guys and girls) in or outside of the themeparks. We are both 20 years old btw.

We depart from Kalamazoo, Michigan at 6:15am.
Arrive at Chicago Ohare at 6:10am.
Arrive at Orlando International at 10:25am.

We are staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort, when should we expect to check in or have our room ready?

Is Pop Century too far from the parks?

Any input and advice would be nice.

edit: 19 days! cant wait. anyone have good suggestions for dining in downtown disney? want to take teh girls somewhere fun, not neccessarily flashy or expensive.

Glad to see you on the boards here on the the Dis,welcome.I would think if your room is ready when you get to Pop from airport you should be checked into your room by 1:00 some times though your room is not ready.So you can leave luggage at Pop and go to a park.Pop is just a short bus ride from parks you and family and friend have agreat time at WDW.

I think the best thing for adults in the parks is Soarin' at Epcot. Even my DH loves Soarin', and he is not easily impressed. Go there first and get a Fastpass. If the wait isn't too bad, ride it then too, but still get the fastpass.

We will be at POR on the 27th. See you at Soarin'.

If you like roller coasters, I hear Everest is great. Not my thing, but...

Are you doing the dining plan? Do you have reservations for your meals? If not call ASAP to make them.

its just me and my buddy until we get to orlando, then we meet up with the girls, first time at disney with no parents or family !!

what is soarin? and everest? new rollercoaster!?

dinner reservations..hmm...yeah i should probably make some lol. Chef Mickey's? Is california grill still in the contemporary? that place is awesome.

and we are at all star music now..switched from pop.
