trip budget help..family of 6

I've also found that we don't eat nearly as much when we travel. Breakfast in the room before we go, pack in a lunch, and a late dinner in the park which we often end up splitting. My daughter has minor food allergies so we just try to be careful. When we buy a snack, we always share it since they're so big. Too much park food upsets my tummy too.

We always get a locker too since it's springtime when we travel and the weather varies from needing a jacket to needing A/C. lol Plus, then we have a place to store our lunchbag and any purchases we make. Frozen water bottles or capri suns work well to keep food cool. We tend to swap out bottles at lunch time and then refill them from one of the many filtered water fountains in the park.

We also always pack in both a protein snack (usually jerky due to nut allergy) and a sweet snack (candy/jelly belly) for in line.

We also limit our souvenir purchases. I collect a new ear hat and a new Christmas ornament most every trip. We usually end up with a new pin or two as well.
