So excited, I've just booked our next trip 11 Nov staying 6 days at Disneyland Hotel.:cool1: I gave Travel Agent room no and she very kindly said she'd fax hotel and request this for us.(corner room so a bit bigger) She did this last year and we got the same room but also (vip fastpasses) flowers, cuddly toys and chocolates. I did ask how much extra it would be for castle club but it was £800.!! so i declined.
I decided to try and get family in the mood by playing chant cest noel cd (very loud ) in the car on the way home and was told to calm down and that its summer!!
Can't believe rest of the family aren't as excited as me.:cheer2:
julie
ps. how do i get a trip countdown ticker?

That's great news Julie  You will find many posters on the forum who will share your excitement with you :goodvibes

To get your countdown ticker just go to www.TickerFactory.com and follow the instructions.

Now let the planning begin :thumbsup2

Are you flying with kids? We have been thinking about the same thing but are a bit nervous with little ones.

we are staying at the disneyland hotel in october , not stayed at this hotel before can you give me any info on whats its like, last time we stayed in the sequioa,
you mentioned about requesting a particular room , can you do this any recomendations on a good room?

i'm sooo excited too and my family are the same - no point talking about it its ages to go yet they all say!!!!!

we are going by eurostar, we can't book this till 24/7 till new prices come out.
we love going on the eurostar as it drops you right outside the parks , it takes about 4/5 hrs to get to ashford station from where we live (durham) but we travel the night before and make this part of our hols, most of our friends with young children prefer to fly , i think its just a matter of preference.

hi cleous,
the disneyland hotel is gorgeous, breakfast was very nice with hot and cold buffet and if you get a window table you get lovely views over main street. there are lots of characters milliing around (I was told off by chip who wanted his photo taken with my dd and id forgotten my camera)! hotel rooms are lovely, made special with flowers, chocs, cuddly toys and slippers and dressing gowns.:yay: we requested this room no 3447 as it was larger and had settee/coffee table in . i have seen an older thread where someone had a ground floor room with patio doors leading to gardens. all the rooms are really nice though, v clean and choccies on your pillow every night:cheer2: I'm even more excited now, bet its brill in oct

the room is west wing 3 / floor 4 / n47 . the west wing is above the pool, lifts straight down to pool , the pool is ok but doesnt have a really shallow end , it was above my youngest dd7 head and she is quite tall, she can swim but didnt feel safe without floats. even the lifts in the hotel are nice i dont normally like lifts but there was xmas music playing in them and they are also nicely decorated.the room is larger than a standard room probably about 8ft larger???have got a couple of photos of reception area i will try and post them but my comp keeps throwing them back.:surfweb:

thanks again

The old post was mine - we had a beautiful ground floor room in the West wing, I forget the room number now. It was very handy for the pool and the park, I felt that we were just down the corridor from the turnstiles!

There are plenty of floats to borrow at the pool. The pool is lovely, but quite small, and deep, as julie says. The water was up to my neck, and I'm 5'5.

We have had dinner in Inventions a couple of times, quite pricey, but the buffet is excellent, with good attention from the characters. We really enjoy it there, and have booked for this trip. The other one is California Grill which gets very good reviews, again it's quite pricey I understand. HTH. :)

wow that ground floor room looks brilll, can you remember what no it was , or what i could ask for to see if we could get a gorgeous room like that with a terrace
