We were in a 1 bedroom(1424) at OKW last week. The room was in great condition and appeared to be freshly painted, but we did have a few small issues. Our phones didn't work, there were some burned out bulbs and housekeeping had forgotten to remove the used soap in the shower soap dish. I walked over to HH to inform them of the problems (no phone), and they said they would send someone. We waited a half hour, and then decided to just leave and let housekeeping do their thing on their own. I suspect there was a communcation issue, because the light bulb in the bathroom got replaced and the phones got fixed, but instead of removing the old soap from the shower, the housekeeper removed the new soaps we had opened at the bathroom sinks and replaces those....the old soap remained in the shower. I supose I should have waited for the housekeeper to explaine exactly what was wrong, but I just cleaned the shower up myself.

We prefer to be near the neighborhood pools, so I didn't use the hot tub or pool this trip. It was quite a ways to walk to Millers Road, and I don't like to go to the main pool. Being right across the street from HH bus stop was convenient except on the 8th and 9th when they were resurfacing the HH bus stop area. We ended up walking to Miller's road to catch buses in the morning, but they would drop off at building 62 on the return. We never actually did that though. We just got off at Peninsular road and walked back.

Had a great lunch as usual at Olivia's! They had newer chairs this time.

Check in went very smoothly, and Autune was a great castmember! I went back and complimented him again when I saw him at the desk as we were leaving. I always let them know when we are out of the room so houskeeping can get a head start.

We had a great lunch at Olivia's the week before. We where in the same building 1431 a studio.

When we were there in January, that area was blocked off and we were told they were painting.

I'm a bit of a germaphobe, so my first thought is wouldn't they see that soap when they cleaned the shower? :rolleyes2 I know that Disney is really big about cleanliness. That was a huge factor in our decision. I will say that communication among mousekeeping is not that great. My son threw up on the deck near the snack bar last Oct., when I asked for something to clean with, they said they would clean it up. I took him to the room with DH and returned two hours later to see the mess still there. I told them I need cleaning products and they gave them to me. I don't want to sound negative because we had an awesome time and I loved OKW!
