Will 5/6-5/13 be busy, i have asked around to travel agents and they said it was quiet but I want to know the real deal :rotfl:

Should be pretty quiet. We were there this year on Mother's Day weekend and crowds were light despite the kickoff of the Happiest Celebration on Earth on May 5.

Our first trip to Disney was 5/4-5/14 & it was very quiet compared to other times. May is usually one of the least crowded times. :cool1:

A couple years ago we went the middle of May and the crowds were light and the lines were not that bad. We are going to POR May 12 - 20th - can't wait!!! Another plus about May is the weather - it hardly rains in May. When we went a couple times during the summer months, it rained almost every day for at least an hour a day.

I don't think the crowds will be huge....but be aware the first annual Minnie Marathon kicks off that weekend.

Great question! I am scheduled to be there May 8-13. By then the kiddos should be back in school from their spring breaks. I do remember going around that time once and it was HOT. :sunny:

We have been to Disney around the same time frame 4 years in a row, even though some of our dates have fallen in late April. It is usually a great time (we are headed back April 30-May 6 in 2006) but always make sure to check for special events that can happen.

Two years ago we happened to go during a huge McDonalds convention (they even leased the Magic Kingdom one night so the park closed to everyone else at 6:00) and last year we went during the Danskins Triathalon weekend. We still had a wonderful time but crowds were a little more heavy than usual and certain resorts were sold out since they were the official Disney resorts for the respective event.

No matter what time you go, you will have a wonderful vacation!! :Pinkbounc

We are going May 16th - 20th are the kids back in school or are the southern schools out then. I have always gone in July so if it is crowded then it won't be any worse then July. Linda

Late April/early May is our favorite time to go. It is a lull between Spring Break and summer vacation. Light crowds, very few rides down, perfect weather; what more could you want? (You can usually get really good resort hotel deals during this period)
