Wed: 8th DH/sons flight on United got off with out a hitch and was on time. Son and My flight 40 minute delay...causing the plane to be deiced 2 times and running to make the next flight at Philly. But we made it and had a very nice seat mate on the last leg. Used ME and it took a little while to reach BCV, the driver was nice...but the wait was long. Art(?)entertained the children with magic tricks and he was very good-definatly made the wait bearable. Checked in at BCV( we were just given paperwork even though I mentioned to reservationist that we have never stayed here before)-AS a former hotel owner I was a little dissapointed that she didn't take the time to review where key places were in relation to our room. Met the greeter at BC(you know who I mean...He was great-a true asset to Disney). Did a quick dip in pool. Had dinner booked at Le Cellier (14th anniversary-nothing done that was special). Waitress was ok(fine) but we did not get any history of the breads that I heard a waiter giving a nearby table. DH/I had the NY strip steak-(G), and I had the cheese soup(VG) and DH had the Asian Shrimp(VG). We did an Illuminations Cruise with our Captain Jason-he was very good and we had a great time-TL cost was $275 for 3A and 5c(I invited Best friend and her children from home as our guests) and we had the boat decorated for our Anniversary-(IMO it was worth the cost-and I am a frugal person). Afterwards we went to Beaches/Cream for a Kitchen Sink for the 8 of us-we still couldn't finish it. Twila our waitress was very nice and had every one sing. Night was Perfect!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Thurs 9th- My feet are already as big as my sneakers :scared1: EE at MK-and we had a 8am ADR at CP-we got there 20 minutes late, but we were quickly seated and had a great breakfast(VG). Did a few rides- Stitch, Buzz, and Splash I was not feeling well so we went back to the room for a swim and rest. Had 6:30 ADR's at Brown Derby- I had the French Onion SOup and DH had the Sake Crab cake(both VG), for dinner we both had the Filet(mine done Med was VG-better than Le Cellier) and (DH-who like his rare-was not impressed he though his was ok-Le Cellier's was better for him) Desserts were great we both had the Happiest Celebration on Earth. We went on to Fantasmic and then back to the hotel. Nice evening. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Friday 10th(crowds still very doable)(Lost my Cell phone)(still suffering with huge swelling in feet and ankles)
We got up and had a light breakfast in the room. Off to Epcot. We were at the International Gate way rope for the drop. I went to soarin to get FP tickets. DH and kids went to Test Track, and I ran( :rotfl: )to meet them. We did TT together...I loved it and would do again(I can not do the inversions or rapid drops due to vertigo), only bad thing was we stopped 3-4 times(there were obviously problems) and they even offered for all of us to go again(we said no since we had to get over for our FP for Soarin)but the stopping didn't bother me. Over to Soarin..got on quick...I was a little sick due to the vertigo and one of my DS leaning foward to make me nervous :rolleyes1 , but I thought I would have enjoyed the ride more if son had not made me nervous. I kept leaning back to reassure my fear of heights. After we exited Soarin, I got FP for the Land boat ride. We grabbed a bite to eat-bagles, crossants, and fruit salad...all very good. Went on the boat ride, very intersting(espically since I am a gardner-and it was helpful to sit and relax). After boat ride on to Innovations(West I think to make the robots). Apparently this is like a 20 minute -30 minute thing, we had to wait for the next group, while waiting kids popped over to play Mickey Tag(kinda set up like and TV show with multiple contestants)-my boys (7yo)loved it and had fun. It was our turn to make Robots and play the game...very long I wasn't in to it(but my kids had fun-and it's all about the kids right :goodvibes ) But I would never do alone or with impatient children(or younger than 5yo children IMO). Then off to Italy for lunch. Had no ADR, it was about 2pm, and we were seated in about 10 minutes. DH had Chicken Parm(excellent per DH), I had Lasagna(good but very heavy) we all had desserts Chocolate Cake(dry) and lady bug(good) and Chocolate Mousse(VG). We watched the drummers at Japan and then went in to do the Pearl(a family tradition)-DS picked an oyster with a 7 3/4 mm oyster :thumbsup2 , and of course we had to get Youghio(sp) cards. Back to hotel for a rest and quick dip in the pool. Had 6:30 Adr at 1900 Park fare with friends from home, got there early and kids were pin trading, took lots of photos of flower arrangements. Went in for dinner. Saw Cindy, Mice, Fairy Godmother, and Minnie Mouse. No Prince Charming...kinda bumbed my friend and I out...we wanted our picture taken with him...but food was great. The kids ate tons(adults found plenty to eat too). After dinner guys went up stairs for Cigars, and Ladies and children went for a walk outside. We made our way to the dock to watch Wishes and Eletric Water Parade(great view) took boat to MK and bus back to BCV. Tried to do Beaches and Cream for Icecream...too busy. Went to do laundry!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Sat 11th in am:(have to look at the pics to update)
At about 12 we caught a cab to go to Disneys WWofS to see the Braves vs. The NY Mets. The game was great..nice stadium...definitly a change from the usual Disney. Saw tons of cheerleaders and they were very well behaved. After the game transportation was really an issue-Disney provides transportation from WWS to MGM but we waited over an hour in the bus line and still hadden't gotten on so broke down and got a cab back to BCV. For anothe dip in the pool, and again trying to just get the swelling down on my ankles. We were susposed to make a 50's prime time Cafe dinner...needless to say...we didn't...I was soaking in the hottub, and having a cute conversation with someone's children about snowdays. Finally I managed to hobble up to the room and got dressed to make the late Fantasmic. I think we got to MGM at 8pm grabbed trukey legs and pizzas for dinner and brought them up to Fantasmic. Got great center seats(usually we are in the reserved section)and enjoyed a quick dinner. Took the boat back to BCV and packed to move to VWL.

To be cont....

How were the crowds last week?

Sounds like a great start to your trip. I can't wait to hear more about it!

Thanks for posting.

Hi, Twin!!!

I hope your feet recover before the end of your trip---ouch!!! Your anniversary dinner sounds MUCH better than ours was.

BTW, on Sunday the 12th there were 2 other families on the bus from VWL to AK at 8:00. I just KNEW one of them was you, so we asked. NOPE! I guess you slept in that day.

Can't wait to hear more!!!

Sounds good. Hey you mentioned the pool but not the temp of it. Was it as warm as usual?

Part II
Sun 12th-AKA the beginning of the nightmare!!!! Ok - as you know I am suffering with severly swollen ankles and feet(why did I bring any other shoes???They don't fit!!!) But the kids and DH are doing fine-so I am going to do it!(still no cell phone!)

Called Bell services at 8:10 for an 8:30 am pick up("ok we'll be there") 8:45 still no one..DH calls"we are on the way" 9:10 DH calls again(I am getting flustrated-kids are getting antsy and we are susposed to be at AK to meet friends soon). (9:25 DH calls again...same story). SO we take the bags to the Bell Services ourselves(7 bags and 2 adults...my kids can't manage the bags we have)

"Good Morning" is the greeting my DH gets from the BS MGR(a woman), and he says nothing still draging 3 bags. She makes a face-and he saw it, (I didn't because I'm draging 4 bags). He confronts her(camly-but I would have been a little crazier)..."you know I heard you when you said good morning- but you could have helped my wife and I dragging all these bags. Nothing about this morning has been good-we have been waiting an hour to get bags picked up, and all you can do is make faces at me because I don't feel like responding to your "good morning"....(my DH who is a VP and a very patient person continued with) I realize you are doing your job, but it is your responsibility to be properly staffed and provide services requested by your customers". She was dumbfounded..."well we are busy"...(tons of people standing around IMO)..DH says back to her "that is not my problem, that is yours, and if you tell someone you can pick up luggage for 8:30 it should be done".

So needless to say not a fun morning...we are now late...and DH and I are not in a great mood...so I shut my mouth and my arms and feet want to fall off. We get to AK...DH wants to get FP for Everest and I say take our 4 tickets and get 4 passes...and I will take the kids to Safari(what they really wanted to do)- "No I don't want to get seperated". So we all trott off to Everest(I cannot do this ride-but wanted to get extra FP for friends we are susposed to be meeting...DH says no lets just get 3 - 1 for DH and 2 for my boys). DH gets a call from friend..."ok we're running a little late too..we'll be there in about an hour"...great at least this am's problem is going to be ok. So with FP in hand we go to ITTBAB...walked right on, got right in, after show we exited and turned left to take the secret path to Africa. Got on the safari line...there was about a 20-25 min wait, but just as we were getting on the Safari DH's friend called..."we are almost there, and we'll see you in
about 20 minutes in front of Tusker House" Perfect. We meet, go back to Everest, and dh/friend/one child and friend's wife want to ride (great...I told you we should have gotten the 4th ticket :confused3 )...then Friends wife can't leave the baby(hello-I managed 2 babies and this is a 1yo-I can do it)...so DH/F/DS go on ride...Friend complains to someone(???about what I don't know-but manages to get 2 FP for himself and wife)...the 3 come off ride, and Friend says to wife come on lets go on it together...ok...Everest is conqured!!! Off to get Lunch. 4 months ago when I was planning this trip I suggest just grabbing something at Tusker house...but no -Friend/wife/1yo had to go to RFC...only ADR I could get was for 2:45-and told them so...Fast Forward...it is now 1:30 and everyone is hungry "oh lets just go to RFC and they can get us in-(for a table of 7-I don't think so )-so finally they took my suggestion of just grabbing something at Tusker House. Great spot-wish there was more tables- now DH's F wants to do Lion King and Kali and Safari...ok lets go. LK was great. rush up to Kali(no FP)...get soaked...rush over to Safari for 4:30 ...just as we are about to board baby gets sick...No go..(now my boys are crying because they really wanted to do this ride again, and it has obviously a long day)...I try to reassure them by saying we'll come again later in the week. Friends wife had to go buy new shirts, and we waited for about 45 minutes...so I quietly told my DH I think I have had enough(and the kids were really getting tired plus we had to do MH at MK and still check in at VWL). DH told friend what our plans were...ok well we'll come along with you to check in and dinner. I am stating to panic..my ADR's are for 6:30 for 4 at Wispering Cannyon. And it is 5:30 now. We take the bus, and they drive over to WL. We check in and Friend's wife goes over to WC to tell them we are there and check in...but she doesn't tell them we are now 7 instead of 4 (F'sW used to Work for WD-and is very pleasant). So after checking in, I go over to WC, and explan sorry we are late, and we are now 7...and the poor hostess looked at me with no clue. She poliety told me there would now be a 45 minute wait...I'm like OK(not knowing what F'sW said)...and went over to our group sitting in the lobby and said...Ok I guess we can go drop off our bags and see where our room is. F'sW says "What???How long of a wait is it for dinner...I said 45 minutes....(up she pops "Oh No")...she walks over to hostess, comes back , and says they will work us in in just a few munites -I spoke to the Manager" I'm like(#1 we were a little late, and 2#we are a bigger party)Ok I hope they can fit us in soon...hoping there was some other cancellations. Sure enough we were worked in in about 10-15 minutes. Had a great Dinner Candy Cane was our server she was really nice, and the kids did the horse races, and got ketchup. We were all tired, but having fun. After dinner said goodbye to Friends, and went up to room for a nap at about 8:15.

Had to call for luggage, and room was fine, but could have not been further from the elevator(but at least it was no smoking as requested for medical reasons-next time I am asking for requests like high as possible and close to elevator, and view of pool if poss.). We all got up at 10:30-10:45. Hopped a bus to MK and got our bracelets(I think we got there at 11:30). We rode Stitch, Buzz, Transportation Auth, Dumbo, Mickey's Philharmagic, Haunted Mansion, Splash, and BTMRR also we grabbed a midnight snack at Pecos Bill's and did a little shopping on Main Street and we left to go back at 2:30...I just love no crowds!!! Don't ask about my ankles because now I am beginning to hobble like a 100 YO woman...my joints will not straighten out. I am thinking about getting a ECV..but just thought that would be silly :moped:

Mon 13th: Ok, easy to guess we did not get up early. We went to DTD. Had lunch at Earl of Sandwich...it was great _  _ and DH and the kids went to Disney Quest, and I did some shopping on my own. Saw some items that looked intresting, but didn't want to carry it around. Ended up at the Lego store and got a small plastic cup, and got parts for several cars and other intresting pieces. Off to the room for a dip in the pool again. We had 6:45 ADR at Teppanyaki. This was for DH...he loves sushi and table food. Me not so muc, but I had the Shrimp/rice/noodles (very Good), DH had seaweed salad, edeamame, sushi combo, and the sirlion (vg). Kids one had the kids with the dessert included(grilled chicken and noodles and rice, and the other had the grilled chicken and veggies(which were birdseye carrots, peas and green beans)...I think both wished they had gotten the 2nd. But is was a nice meal. :thumbsup2 Afterwards (8:30 ish) we walked around and got a fried dough, and then walked quickly to China, so my DS could say Neihi(sp) to the lady there...we watched illuminations on our long walk to the monorail...then back to VWL by boat!!! We got to watch the geyser!!! Kids wanted to go to the pool, and I needed to do laundry-I was there for the FLood in the Laundry room-Don't ask, but if you own at VWL I can see how your dues will be going up-alot!!

How were the crowds last week?
Until Saturday they were fine...then I guess 1/2 the state of Texas was on spring break...but crowds were still fine except for wishes and some rides were 1/2 hour wait.

Tues March 14th: Up a little later than I wanted, but got to MGM at 10:10...by the time we got through the security and tickets and walked to the Commisary it was past 10:30-so we thought we missed breakfast. But we walked aroung the corner to the writers stop-coffee house and were able to grab a bunch of muffins, bagles, and rice krispie treats. At least it was a cute little spot with a table - perfect!!! :cloud9: Off to Lights, Action, Cars...show was great :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 - Exit and grab a lunch at Toy Story Pizza. Finished lunch and got FP for Star Tours. I had to rest-DH and boys went to It sounds Dangerous. Then we all went to IJ-I thought I was going to pass out on line from the pain in my ankles. Why didn't I bring any aleve or other pain reliever!!! But sitting for the show, was a good rest, and IJ is always a lot of fun. On to Star Tours-the one ride my DH can't do...so the boys and I did it together. Time to go-I think it was about 3pm...back to VWL and the boys went for a swim...I elevated my feet. Since this is our lastnight we went to MK. Had a 6:30 ADR at Tony's- had a nice waiter, and food was good. DH said the steak was the best he had, I got the chicken with spinach and procuitto(it was good). Boys had pizzas. I think we did Stitch and Buzz and Hall of Presidents, then we staked out a spot for Wishes infront of Noodle Station. I was shocked to see the area with the tables and umbrellas infront of the Plaza was reserved for AAA and WDW travel-(We're DVC :guilty: so no spot for us). So we planted ourselves on a planter. Then the :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: began...every where I looked next to me across from us etc. I know the smoking station is near there, but I thought it was on the lower level- I thought it was rude....I wish they would ban smoking all together. Wishes was great, we made our way over to HM and Splash...then took the boat back to the room. Had to pack to next day.

March 15th Wed- Departure day- got up early and started packing- finally got down stairs ........ Realizing we would never make our 10:30 at CM we bailed at the GF and went to 1900 park fare hoping they could fit us in. Luckily they were able to fit us in, and breakfast was great- My boys just really wanted micky waffles, bagles, bacon and sausage!! 3 out of 4 is great with me!!! Back to WL to catch ME back to airport...which went very well. DH/son's flight was totally full. Other son and I waited for our flight...and we had a good flight...got in just after midnight. :cheer2:

Sounds like a fun time except for your poor feet!!! UGH--you must have been miserable!!! I hope you can bring prescription meds with you next time!!

We were on the 4th floor of VWL---if you saw 2 boys fighting over who got to push the elevator buttons, that was us
