Do I need to bring candy?? Do the kids trick or treat in the campgrounds during October?

From what I read you register at the office to hand out candy. They will give you a sign to post. Then you are asked to set up at the end of your site and the kids will come by for treats. We'll be doing this for sure. My bigger kids will cart around and my handicapped DD will be passing out treats.

Halloween night ( most likely) at the Fort. Only one night, 6 to 8, or similar close hours.

Also costumes for young and old are everywhere and are encouraged. Many are pretty ingenious.

Oh, and there could be LOTS of kids depending how well the popo enforce the Fort-guests-only rule.

Halloween 2012 at the Fort we had over 300 Trick or Treaters . . . in 2010 I estimate that it was closer to 600.

They seem to be doing better controlling the entrance gate!

It's great fun, some wonderful costumes!

Halloween is a blast at the Fort.... This will be our 3rd in a row and we drive from Canada.... Lol

Here's a link to previous years activities... Be sure to check out the golf cart parade before trick or treating, we loved it!

I've never registered to hand out candy, but we're always in heavily traveled trick or treating loops. We ride in the golf cart parade on Halloween evening and throw out TONS of candy. We also leave some big bowels of candy at the front of our site on a table so we don't miss any of the kids while we're taking our kids around.

Trick or treating has only been on Halloween. In past years, when Halloween fell on Sunday or Monday, some had tried to get the campground to allow 2 nights, but they won't even consider it. Halloween activities including trick or treating happen on Halloween.

We budget @ $100 on candy every year and never seem to have enough for the parade. May need to bump that up this year.

Halloween is my favorite holiday and Fot Wilderness is my favorite place! Haven't been there on halloween yet but it sounds great. have been to a few mnsshp and love riding around in our costumes on the golf cart. can't wait to see everyones pictures from the Fort on halloween this year!
