Trick or Treaters... no costume?

We have many teenagers come to the door with no costumes and I have no problem giving them candy. They still feel like kids themselves and enjoy being out. I'd rather they go trick or treating then go get into trouble somewhere.

Out of the 15 TOT that I got, probably only 6 of them really dressed up (the ages were from 10-15). They all got candy from me. They were nice, said thank you and complimented me on my pumkin. It should be a fun holiday.

Wow... I'm glad we don't have any scrooges living in our neighborhood!!!

Rules.... for Halloween... give me a break. Enjoy the night or turn out your lights
Best post on this subject I've read. Thank you!

Good for your wife!

I have been in that situation in the past and have done the same thing. I am not afraid of what they might do.

I have never experienced a bad outcome, but if they want to egg my car or toilet paper my trees, so be it. It's a matter of principle for me :)

LOL, I was being facetious - I still firmly believe that it's wrong to deny anyone candy on Halloween - dressed or not, under 12 or almost 18. If you want to make those rules for your children, be my guest. I'll disagree, of course, but why do you care??? Halloween is over now, and you are allowed to handle it at your own house any way you want!!!! Everyone who came to the DVCLiz house last night got an Airhead and a mini Reese's cup - even the kid who showed up at 9:15 with a school letter jacket as his "costume."

Now, on to the important subjects - like what are you having for Thanskgiving???

Lasagne.
