Hi everyone

i have a question? Does any of the adults trick or treat? On my mikes tour guide, it says that the adults do this.. Come clean everyone who does this. OUr first halloween there.:yo-yo:

They give everyone a trick or treat bag upon entering the MK so they want adults to participate as well :)

does anyone have a story about doing this in the past? PLease tell

What kind of "story" are you looking for? I just posted that yes, adults do this. What other information are you looking for?

Not touchy, just wondering what kind of specific information you are looking for about adults trick or treating at the halloween party.

I am curious.....

where do you trick or treat? At the shops on Main Street? At the rides? Where?

please tell....

My spouse and I went twice during one week when we were at Disney for a convention in 2002. Here is our experience with Trick or Treating. The 1st night we went we did not wear costumes, but wore a little something, ie a tiara and a halloween disney necktie. When we went up to the Trick or Treat stations they were nice and polite to us, but always very carefully handed us each 1 and only 1 piece of candy each. I noticed this was not the case with the children around us, they were frequently given handfuls. The second night we took our bosses daughter, who was in costume. She was always given handfuls, if not several handfuls of candy. If we held out or bags, again we were given a polite smile and 1 piece of candy. I was and still am upset by this. Not because I wanted the candy, but because Disney makes this out to be a big party for everyone, where adults can be a kid again. I felt as if I was being treated as a "Candy Grubbing" grownup who should just leave the goodies to the kids and act their age, very condescending. I think that any guest who holds out their bag and says Trick or Treat should be treated the same, regardless of age! If you are thinking of taking kids, then I am sure they will have a great time. If you are going as Adults only, don't bother, go to E-night instead.

I didn't experience this any of the three times I went to the party. We adults (with our kids) were given just as much candy as the little ones. Sorry you didn't have a good experience. :(

I trick or treated along with my son & it seems to me I was treated equally...

Last year when me and my fiancé (he proposed on this trip) we went around trick treating we didn't dress up but had on the Halloween T-shirts when we first got there we where handed bags and two step later a CM was handing out candy. The CM looks at us with this Great big smile (I guess my smile was catching cause he had ask me the night before to get marred) and said "are yall ready for some trick or treating " and then she maybe us say "TRICK or TREAT" very loud it was too funny seeing my 6'8" boy friend looking down at the 4' nothing CM with his bag opened and her handing him a hand full of candy. This became a game for us making sure we said Trick or treat at every station we stopped and yes we got one or two pieces at allot of places and handfuls at more. one thing that we did notice is the kids and I mean allot would not say trick or treat a few of the CM got up set with the kids not verbally just in there expressions so we would come behind the rude kids (Give me candy i don’t have to do anything attitude ) and have a few laughs with the cm we had a blast. The candy got handed out to kids that we saw say trick or treat when we where watching the fireworks
PLEASE say TRICK OR TREAT the cm want to have fun alao::yes::

I was a bit nervous, that is why i wanted to hear some stories. I didn't want anyone to get upset with us adults for tick or treating. They make such a big deal about the mugs, so i didn't want to be part of it. Thank you so much for your words. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

TRICK OR TREAT

4 of us went last year. DH, me, 17 yo DS and 12 yo DS. Boys in costume, the oldest as the Gypsy King from Hunchback, he signed autographs all night and several CMs asked where he got the costume.( I do a lot of costuming, so I made it the night befor.)
We all got candy bags, and the boys did not gather as much cndy as DH and I did- they rode a lot of rides 3 or more times.
Early in the evening it was very crowded, esp. neat Buzz, but about 9:30 or 10ish it clered out alot. We got our photo taken several times at different places, and every time we saw the Mickey Pumpkins we got candy.
We allways said Trick or Treat, Please, and the Thank You. Most CMs were thrilled that some one did that and when they were not busy we talked to them, we got more candy sometimes by walking through the candy line several times, as some CMs said they were only supost to give 1-2 pieces to each person as they passed... several times there were no other people around and we could have walked through for 5-10 minuets befor anyone else came by. This was in Fronteer Land, and near the Haunted Manson about 10-11 pm.
Go, have fun, and be extra nice to the CMs 'cause they really worked hard when we were there to make a great party for all of us.

so you can trick or treat up untill 10 or 11pm? what time does it start?

thanks summerrluvv

sorry i was a little snappy yesterday. I was just a little nervous about doing this. I wanted to know if anyone had any problems.
