I Have a Question about Halloween, I am trying to get ready for Halloween and I was wondering if anyone could tell me about how much candy to take for the Trick or Treators?

As much as you can afford and carry. I've heard of people passing out as much as 30lbs.

As I understand it, buy as much candy as you can, and then when you think to yourself "there's no way we'll ever get rid of all this candy",,then buy some more.

oh, and I'm not try'n to be funny.

I can only tell you this we went thought 70lbs last year. but we where in the Premium hand out site 100-800. the back sites 1400-1900 saw less people and didn't give out a 1/4 of the candy

bring as much or as little as you want to hand out. don't leave a bowl-they will take handfuls. normally you sit outside and hand it out. if you're not out they don't tend to knock. when mine is gone-so am i. lol

You are a 100% right people sit out front of their site. Noone comes up to your RV they just walk by every site

What kind of treats are the norm? I will be at the Fort Halloween 2012 and don't want to look like scrooge.

I may have missed it, but do we know if TOT is actually on Halloween at the Fort this year? :clown:

not sure exactly when tot will be this year. but, as far as treats bring what you want. if the kids are picky then they can pass and go to someone else. i am probably doing suckers this year. they will travel well and everyone likes a good tootsie pop or "dum dum" lol..

We were there in Oct 2008 on Halloween for TOT...bought 3 10-pound bags of candy from Sam's Club and it was gone about 45 mins after TOT officially started. We were in the 300 loop that year. That was the most fun DD has ever had TOT'ing. It was fabulous. :)

I would stay away from melty things.

That's what I was thinking....suckers sound good.
We usually pass out some kind of chocolate here at home, don't have to worry about melting.
Last year I passed out Capri Sun drink pouches, you would have thought I was giving out gold, the word spread around the neighborhood like wild fire.

I went last year to the fort and the only place where we TOT'ed were to sites that had people sitting outside handing out the candy. We did not knock on any doors.

I also brought 40lbs of candy for the GC parade and it was gone before we even got to the first stop sign!

I had another 10 lbs for TOT and it was gone in 1/2 hour.

We gave out a mixture of tootsie rolls, dots, candy bars...

We saw just about everything! Handing out half frozen juice boxes on a hot night sounds like heaven as well! Maybe the frozen popcicle sticks would be a hit as well?
