Hello. I just bought 3 tickets for me , dh and dd(10) for Oct. 2nd. This is our first time going.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I have a few questions....

1. DD is 10 1/2 but doesnt want to dress up as a princess. I need some ideas what she can dress up as.

2. Should she take her own trick or treat bag?

3.Are the goodies only given out to kids?

4. What does GRR and TSMM (rides) stand for?

5.anything else i should know as a newbie ?

what to eat (any special must have treat)

must watch shows or parades?

Thanks inadvance:love::goodvibes:banana:

Nope, they give out treat bags at the entrance when you go in

3.Are the goodies only given out to kids?

Adults and kids are both able to receive candy

5.anything else i should know as a newbie ?

Be sure to arrive early, they sometimes let people in right at 7pm, instead of the listed 7:30pm time. Be sure to see the Parade and Fireworks too!

Thank you for the info. We will definetly get there early. We are excited about going. Now we just need to find a costume for dd-lol!

How much is parking?

I'm pretty sure parking is included in the cost of your ticket; at least it has been in the past.

Your DD can dress up as anything. You will see all kinds of costumes, not just Disney characters. My DD6 was a pirate last year ~ Elizabeth Swan, so still Disney. But this year she wants to be some kind of animal if I can find a big enough costume. She's now a very tall 7yo. DS9 was a clone trooper. DS12 would not wear a costume and just wore a Halloween t-shirt with jeans.

Have a great time! This will be our 5th year.

1-DD13 wants to be Constance from the HM, DD9 will be a pirate, she says Elizabeth Swan but it's just a standard generic pirate costume. Last time we went they were the Evil Queen and Maleficent, that was cool!!!! Not sure what DBF and I are going to do, I keep thinking we should go with the pirate theme, those are easy to do. It doesn't have to be Disney tho, she can be ANYthing she wants to be, a witch, a ghost, a fairy, anything at all.

2-she will get a bag, so will you, but they tend to be a bit small so if you're planning on stocking up you might want to bring another bag to put your littler bags into. I will be bringing a Mickey bag that I use for groceries, it's cute and it's Mickey. :)

3-see above, you will get a bag and yes, you can get goodies as well. :)

4-GRR is Grizzly River Rapids, it's closed during the party, TSMM is Toy Story Midway Mania, it will be open.

5-have fun!!!!!!!!!!!! and you can dress up too. :)

The only thing should be the parade, really it's just the main characters dressed for Halloween in a truck that drive down the road, it started at Paradise Pier and went to Sunshine Plaza when we saw it last.

thanks for all the info. Last time we went to calif adven has been maybe 8-9 years ago and there was really much to do especially with dd being so lil. We want to try house of terror so hope that will be opened.

dd decide to use her costume from last year cheetah girl kimono but pants might be a lil to short. Now we will have to pick something else because she's changed her mind. I'm sure she will change it a few times uugh!
