Trick or Treat Party

I am hoping to attend Mickey's Trick or Treat Party sometime this October, but I have never been, so don't really know much about it! I can probably only go on a Friday. October 2 is the first day of the party, a Friday, and I can get the best price for it. Will it be a total madhouse because it is the first day? Do they control how many tickets are sold for each date? How many people can I expect to be there?

Should I try to go another day? I'm a little concerned. Any tips or knowledge from previous attendees would be greatly appreciated!

They limit the number of tickets sold for each date. But it may be busier because of the people on Fall break that weekend.

Thanks, who has fall break? I know we have a thanksgiving break - wasn't aware others had an earlier break. Any idea on what the limit is?

Arizona and Utah schools have breaks in October. A lot of families use these breaks to head to Disneyland. I'm a Cali girl too and these fall breaks are new to me too.

We are in Arizona. Our fall break is Oct 12-16. Most of the schools in greater Phoenix have a 1-2 week break around that time. But, of course, the "year-round" schools that have the 2 week breaks in October have been in school since the end of July, lol!

We will be there October 14th-18th. We decided to go to the Halloween party on Thursday night, so that we can have Friday night at Disneyland and Saturday night at DCA.

Thanks for the info on fall breaks! I just looked and Utah Escapes to Anaheim is that weekend (beginning with Friday the 2nd), and Gay Days overlaps it too. What a hilarious coincidence. Kind of sucks, but we may try it then anyways...

As others have said, for the ToT party they only sell a limited number of tickets. Every time I've gone it's been sold out, but even so the crowds aren't too bad. Most of the rides aren't going to be walk-ons, but you can still do a lot of rides and get a lot of candy in the time you're there.

Thanks ScooterL. Are fastpasses available during the party? I am guessing not, but it would be cool. Based on what you said, I think any Friday is going to be busy. I suppose I should get my tickets soon!

I'll be there that Friday also... Along with 16 others. If you are a season pass holder tickets are $26 on line.

We'll be there then too! My kids are in one school district and DH teaches in another and this is the first year both districts have had the same week long October break, so we had to take advantage of it!

Wonderful! I actually lived in AZ from age 5 to 15, so howdy to any Tucsonians that may wander through!

Not to hijack the thread... but I had a question about the ToT party. Someone mentioned the rides "won't be walk-ons." Which rides are usually open? Will TSMM be one of them? I'd do that ride all night long if it was anything less than the usual 40 minute wait

Everything except GRR should be open hopefully. Someone reported that TSMM was at least a 30 min wait all night last year. HTH!

So, what's a good strategy for the ToT party?? Should we immediately head for TSMM and then head back to the trick or treat stations? (don't know if I can convince my kids of that one once they see the candy!).

We're staying at PPH, will we be able to enter the party from the GCH entrance or do we have to go all the way around to the front??

We stayed at the PPH last year, and we had to go around to the front to get in - as I recall the entrance from the GC was completely closed, and we couldn't exit that way, either.

You MIGHT get a short line if you go straight to TSMM. The last couple of years they have started letting people into the park ~30 minutes before the party starts, and then holding them in Sunshine Plaza. So if you get in early and go as far in as you can you would be ahead of most of the crowd. You'll have plenty of time to get candy even if you get stuck waiting for TSMM for 30 minutes, though.

Yes, quite a few of us attending on the 15th - whoohoo!

Will they be providing bags for candy or are we better off bringing something that zippers (so we get maximum rides with minimum candy loss).
