TRex Restaurant Ressies

Has anyone tried to make a reservation yet?

They are not taking reservations yet and she said she didnt have any info, boo hoo! :sad1: I guess WDW Dine doesnt even have an opening date yet.

So we are still waiting I guess.:confused3

Just called the lady i talked to said maybe ressie'sstart being accepted in october, but nothing in their system yet. Hmm ...more calling daily:surfweb:

Hmmm.....I wonder if they will accept the DP. I keep hearing most likely they won't.

Reply we received:

Thank you for your inquiry into the new T-Rex Orlando! At this time our restaurant is scheduled to open in mid October of 2008 and we will be on a walk-in basis only until 2009.. You may check our website at anytime for updates on our opening. ...

UGH....we come home 10/11.....I was really hoping it would be open when we are there. Anyone think there will be a soft opening the week prior????? I can't remember what they did with Yak & Yeti.

I sent the company an email yesterday and received the same reply about walk-ins through January. Keep trying to make reservations, you never know.

Actually that's good news for me..I can't wait to Try T-Rex. My son LOVES dinosaurs (you should see his room) and we're headed down in mid Jan.
But I couldn't decide on what day to visit or how many people might be in our group. Could be 4-10. Since it's walk in only our odds of a table will be the same no matter what.

I have the Safari Club membership.....anyone have a clue if this will be valid at this new restaurant? That would be very cool since it includes the preferred seating, which worked wonderfully at RFC last year. Regular wait time was an hour and a half, and we waited about 15 minutes. WELL worth the $15 fee! Don't have to use that perk locally as it's never full, but DTD had a line about a mile long.

Edited to add: Ok, realizing that no one is probably going to have an answer, I went to the website. The DTD restaurant is the SECOND in this chain....wow, somehow with all the buzz about it, I thought it was like RFC and there were dozens of them around.

So....I sent an email asking my question. If I get an answer, I'll let you know.

Hooray!!!!!! :cool1: We were hoping this would be open to do our first night in December. Thanks for the info!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to see the menu (even though we are going purely for the atmosphere ;) )

The Landry's website has the menu.

Looks very much like the Rainforest Cafe menu.

The TRex Cafe has a cool website with fun info and activities.

Does anyone know when we can make reservations for the TRex restaurant? Do we have to wait until they open and book through them or can we book with Disney Dining?:confused3

This was the response I got today from them via email:

You may check our website at anytime for updates on our opening. If you are in the Disney area and are looking for a WILD time, call one of our Rainforest Café properties for a priority seating. We have one located at the entrance to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park which you can reach at 407-938-9100 and one at Downtown Disney Marketplace (a block away from our new T-Rex site) which can be reached at 407-827-8500.

Thank you again for your e-mail and we look forward to your visit!

I sure hope so!!:) I know when I bought the membership it said it worked at other landrys resturants so I am crossing my fingers

Here in the UK you can reserve your tables via the Website of RFC.

Maybe its worth keeping our eye on the Website for the Trex Restaurant just in case they do the same.:confused3
