TRex reservations

Hi,

You can make reservations up to 180 days in advance by calling 407-828-TREX.

Make sure when you get there you state firmly that you have a reservation. It's very confusing there with multiple lines and a lot of noise. You'll then get right into the other line where you'll wait a little bit for a host/hostess to seat you. Request the back room if you can, it's much quieter but you'll still experience the meteor showers and animatronic dinosaurs. We really enjoyed our dinner there last week, have a good time!

Anyone know the hours, and what might be a somewhat less busy time -- 3 or 4 in the afternoon, maybe?

Anyone know which room is home to the Triceratops (DGS' favorite)?

Thanks!

Oops -- hope I didn't kill this thread. DGS is a major dinosaur fan (oops I started typing disneysaur) (esp. triceratops) and am just trying to figure out the best strategy for the most fun experience there for him.
So tips for best time/day to go, how to make requests, etc. are welcome (for me, I want to see the meteor shower). I wonder how many times we're going to want to go to this restaurant (I like dinosaurs, too).

I second the tips on T-Rex...I didn't know it was 180 days out, and I'm not sure what night I want to try to get a reservation! Or for lunch possibly?! Help someone!

I just made a reservation for April 2 at 5 pm. I was told to check in at the Dino stand, with my last name as confirmation. Has it been decided if this a real ressie or more like an ADR with a wait?

I just made a reservation for May 25th (yes we're avoiding the parks on that day LOL) a few days ago. They were pretty open with anytime we wanted for dinner. I'd give a call and you might be surprised it's not that hard to get a reservation?

What they told me on the phone is to let them know we have a "reservation" (that's the word they used) and then we will have "priority seating" but may have to wait a few moments for a table. That's the way she said it. Then when I asked for my "reservation number" she replied it's our last name. She didn't in any way try to correct me or say that it's an ADR or whatever like that. It's the same as rainforest- have you ever eaten there? And I don't mean just at DTD or AK -I mean even here in Dallas area the rainforest there is the same way- have a reservation you get in faster but still have to wait for a table for a bit. I think they don't like leave a table EMPTY just waiting on you for your reservation but you get in faster than just walking up.

I didn't know it was 180 days out! I just made my reservation! Thanks so much.

She said it was "priority seating" and we may have to wait a little bit for the next available table for our party size to open up. Last name serves as confirmation.

Made reservations today for May 12th. When reading it back to me they did refer to it as priority seating.

Hi,

Thank you! I just called that there number, and I picked up a reservation for 12 on June 2. Fun!!! I was scolded though for using the word "reservation" - it is "priority seating" at the Rex.

When I called wdw-dine for regular ADRs, I was scolded for using the term ADR. My CM told me they don't use that terminology. :rotfl2: uh...ok.

Two hand slaps in less than 20 minutes.

Some of my friends is excited to go next week. How I wish i could join them but I have work to finished. :sad2:

I called a little while ago and made a ressie, the girls didn't correct me, but she did book me for this Friday evening (March 6th) when I asked for June 6th, so they even have availability this close.

So if you ask for priority seating, can you ask for a specific room? (and what room has the triceratops?). I was going to call today, because I want to go our first day at WDW, but now we've had more snow days (meaning extra school days) and am not sure we'll get there early enough, rats!

The lady taking my "priority seating" specifically told me that I would be seated by the host/hostess when I arrived. They couldn't promise any areas, and I should expect two tables of six for my party of 12, and they couldn't promise those tables would be together. She did say that my "priority seating" time (3:30 pm) would make it easier to put us together. And that of course is why I chose the odd time...

The things we put up with for a little fun.

when i made my reservation i asked for the ice room the person i spoke to said they can't guarantee a specific room but she would note it on the reservation and they do all they can to give you the room you ask for.

Does anyone know if T-Rex honors the Safari Club cards used at Rainforest Cafe?

When I made my reservation today, I asked specifically about this. They told me that the Safari Club won't help me to get seated any faster, but they will do the 10% discount... Every little bit helps.
