TRex?? keep or toss

We've been there twice. It's SO LOUD! I could never eat there again. Servers were very nice, food was mediocre. Too much sensory overload for me.

We went in 2012 for my sons 3rd birthday and he LOVED it. My 7 year old niece did not at all (the asteroid scared her). I really enjoyed the meal I ate (roast chicken and veggies) though I seem to remember the price being absurd. We enjoyed it enough to go again but our younger son is much more sensitive to loud sounds and would probably not handle the noise well at all. He doesn't even like toilets flushing or air hand dryers. :-/. I also vaguely remember that we waited FOREVER for a server. About 30 mins in (drinks had been ordered but never arrived) our waitress was replaced by a waiter who said the first girl left and he'd be taking over...

TRex is a must for us too. We have two girls 12 and 10 and they both request this for our next trip. We've been twice before. I can't say we've had a bad meal between us. We also love fine dining and really loved CG and V&A last trip but appreciate TRex for the type of restaurant it is.

As long as you realize it's all about the theme go. If you are expecting great food or decent service you may be disappointed. Apparently whomever owns this and Rainforest think you won't notice empty glasses or long waits if the restaurant has a theme

I had heard so much about it and was excited to be able to get a reservation on our last trip because it was booked the trip before. It was ok, and I don't think we'll bother with it again. It was almost the same thing as Rainforest Cafe with a different theme. There are so many other restaurants to choose from, and I would say pass on this.

We went to T-Rex during our last visit. It is a decent restaurant but loud. It's the kind of restaurant where I can say "Okay I have been there" but probably not again.

I'm on the fence about this one as well. Have booked and canceled twice, cant decide!!:worried:

We have been there twice. Food is good. It is loud, but the atmosphere is fun. I would keep.

"We literally waited 5 minutes."

Whereas we have encountered a line *to be seated* (this is after you wait in the line to put your name on the list OR you've bypassed that line and shown your Landry's card, and after you wait for your name to be called to ENTER the line to be seated) that took over half an hour. And we don't go at busy times of the year.

If we didn't have a reservation OR didn't have a Landry's card to bypass that first line, we would have waited *at least* an hour.

I'd make an ADR or make sure I had a Landry's rewards card.

We are only planning three table service the rest will be counter service or back at the resort.....What do you think of Trex is it worth the money? or should I Pick another?
Its a must do for us. We have eaten there 5 times in the last 6 months (2x on our June trip, 2x on our August trip and the night before our Disney cruise in November). My son loves dinosaurs though. The food is good too, tho if its busy expect to wait a long time for everything.

The bar is cool at T-Rex, but DTD is *hell* right now. Walls. Poor parking arrangements. It's a miserable experience in my most recent encounter. Can't wait until they finish the latest reimagining.
