Has anyone been? We have a resssie on Halloween with a 5 year old and 2 year old...DH is afraid it will scare them? Is it pretty overwhelming? I think it looks REALLY cool, but then again I'm not 2!

We've been 3 times now. Our son, who is now 6 loves it! It is loud, and they have meteor showers every 15-20 minutes I believe. But if your kids are into dinosaurs then they will probably love it too! They also have a gift shop with a Build a Dino area. I'm not huge on the food, but it is a fun and entertaining restaurant.

We just went to Trex for the first time this summer. My kids are 7 and 6, my 6 year old is a scardy cat. Yet he was not scared of this restaurant at all. He loved it!! We all loved it. Thought the food was really good also. :)

when we went to T Rex - 10 and 6 - so it didn't bother them. RFC has a similar show. On our daughter's first visit we were seated right next to a set of the animatronic animals. At first she wanted to sit as far away from them as possible. By the end of the meal she was as close as possible. It's more fun than scary.

(To put this into perspective she was scared of the dinosaurs in Ellene's Energy ride for that trip and the next.)

We haven't been to the T-Rex in DTD yet, but we did take our 2-year-old daughter to the T-Rex in Kansas City. She was a little hesitant about going into the restaurant at first, but she ended up having fun. She just didn't want to get too close to the dinosaurs.

We went last year with my 18 month old. There is a lot going on in there but nothing was frightening. My son loved it, tons for him to look at and touch and feel. But like other people have said, it can be loud. So unless the noise will bother the little ones you should be just fine!

I took my then 3 year old grandson a few years ago. We were seated right next to the raptors and he was terrified enough that the waitress offered to move us. She put us under the jellyfish near the bar and he enjoyed the restaraunt from farther away.
I would advise making the reservations and going a few minutes early. Show your children the large T-Rex and watch their reactions. Then ask the person who seats you if you can go somewhere that won't be as frightening, like near the jellyfish.
When we finished dinner we walked around to see the rest of the restaraunt on our way to the restrooms and he was ok with that.
This year he begged me to take him for his 5th birthday but it is a little far from CT. We went to the Rainforest Cafe about an hour away from home and he loved it.
