Hey there,

I was thinking of going on a trek to canada next year with trek america. Have any of you been on or heard anything about this company? I'd love to hear anything good or bad.

Thanks :goodvibes

DH has looked into going with them too but then decided to go back to WDW again instead looks like a good company
maybe if you post this on the US board aswell

please let us know all about it if you go

They have been around since at least the early 90's so that should show their staying power in the travel industry. I must say they do offer unique travel experiences and do sound an ideal way to see parts of the US and Canada that aren't so frequently visited by international tourists.

I know someone who went after she finished college & really enjoyed it. I have looked into it to but i'm not a massive fan of camping although the prices are quite reasonable and you get see a fair bit of the areas you go to.

many happy clients with Trek America :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for your replies :grouphug: . JNS I would love to go to WDW again, but as i'm now 22 and v much single i can't face going alone (think my parents would like to visit somewhere else thir yr!).
I'm not the most adventurous of ppl so a trip that's organised a little sounds perfect for me. Happy to hear there are many happy campers!
Anyone else been on one?

I've done Exodus and Explore treks, they operate a single sex share policy whereby if no one else books a single room you get it to yourself, if another female books you share with them, its a great way to save money and you really get to know someone with the same interests as you.

If you don't fancy camping then Cosmos and Jetsave do good escorted coach trips, again the single sex share policy that Carol mentioned applies :)

I travelled with Trek America many years back, 1984 (wah - that's a long time ago!!), and did a tour around California with them - it was fab and I met some great people, I went on my own.

It was really well organised. I know it's a long time back but if they're still going it must be that their still doing a good job. :thumbsup2

Thanks astrid!
It's great to hear from someone who's been with them. It's got to be good news that it's been around for quite a long time. Think i'll prob just book it, it seems a lot cheaper than most other companies. In my heart i know i'm holding out incase a disney holiday comes up! Sad i kno
