Treehouses?

I was told a few years back about this by a boat captian --and people here :lmao: and same with others that were told the same. I was also told they are making them part of SSR when SSR sold out as an extension because they can not make THV Handicap acces. By law they have to be able to offer HC rooms so they could not make it a seperate resort hence the reason for it being part of SSR.
The HC part may have changed but I doubt it being they will be 10 feet up.

I remember in some discussion (too tired to look it up now) that two of the units were somehow being made HCA, by a common ramp I think.

Although all indications are that it will be part of SSR and sold as "Phase 3", I read at least one person who was told by a guide that they will in some sense be independent...we should have better details soon as it seems even the guides aren't fully up to speed on that yet.

Here's the answer from the horse's mouth, directly from a DVC news release:

"the Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, scheduled to open in summer 2009, will become the next room category offered at that resort."

I'm really excited about the Treehouse Villas and can't wait til I can book.

The link to this news release and video has already been posted in another thread, but here it is again:

I questioned Ron who was the DVC representative to provide info about BLT after the Welcome Home Wednesday meeting yesterday and he said the only info he has is what was in the paper. He did confirm the units are modular and will be set on the bases. On a trip to OKW the new bases for some of the units could be seen from the boat. There is a large crane in place that will most likely lift them onto to bases. The roadway going into that area is also being worked on as far as landscaping and cleaning out the undergrowth. It does appear they will have a lot of clearing of brush to do before the units can be installed or used.
