Treehouse Villas Declared

The first Treehouse Villas were declared today - Phases 138 through 142 at SSR with 6 THVs each for a total of 30 THVs.

The boat dock was also declared and appears in the drawings for Phase 141.

Note that one of the THVs declared thus far is Handicap Accessible - it is in Unit 138C (all "units" consist of 2 THVs).

COOL! I like the location of the 142 units.

So that's where the boat dock is. For some reason I kept thinking it would be on the south end.

Are those parking spaces along the main road? Now will there be parking right be each THV too? I thought there would be.

That means there will be 30 villas available for DVC members to book when reservations begin. It's more than I expected! Tha's great for ll who want to give them a try.

The pool is visible on the plans, as well. On the page with the boat dock plans, over to the right.

Rectangular pool, an odd shape that looks like a hot tub, and a building next to the pool.

When we at the Preview Centre in January to see the BLT models, the CM's said that they were not going to build any treehouse models, since there were so few points to sell compared to BLT and AKV Kidani.

They have a table-top model of a treehouse villa at the preview center. It's about the scale of a Barbie doll.

Maybe I missed a previous discussion of this but looking at the plans from the attached, do you have to go through the shower in the master bathroom to get to the tub? That is the first I have seen this.

Looks like Desnik posted some photos of the scale model on this link http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2075912 and that is exactly what they did. Kind of strange but won't stop me from staying there.

Those look incredible.

In my mind, their attractiveness rivals BLT. The only problem is that I can't buy points at Treehouse Villas and if I bought SSR points to have the 11 month window I would still have to compete with all SSR owners to get a ressie.

Yes, I saw the pictures. We're with you, it is strange, but...oh well. Can't wait to try out that strange shower/tub setup! lol

Aw man I am such a dork I did not even consider that they would phase them in! So how long do all you experts and long-timers think it will take for all 60 units to come "on-line" so to speak? Will they wait until they sale most of the points for the first 30?

at some point the novelty will wear off and you will get your chance at a stay without having to even think about purchasing points.
