Treehouse Villas - Corey's Pics

I'm also guessing that the furnishings are kind of a tribute to the original configuration and decoration of these villas when they were originally available to vacationers. We never stayed there when I was a kid, but I always wanted to.

:surfweb: I'm listening to the Podcast Treehouse Villas review right now.

Before the review, I heard people comment on the bus situation was going to be horrendous and the THV were pretty far from the main building (Carriage House). This was NOT very appealing to our family. We drive to WDW. But, usually park the car and then take Disney transportation for the duration of our stay. At first, we thought it would be "fun" to stay there with the children. With the DIS Review and others, we don't plan on staying there anytime soon. Maybe, we'll stay there some day when we've stayed at every other DVC Property. For now, we'll save our points! :wizard:

:woohoo: We'll be at SSR in 17 days. Due to availability and pricing/points, we seem to stay at SSR at least once a year. It's NOT my favorite DVC resort (BCV :cloud9:). But, at least we'll be at WDW. We always ask to stay in The Paddock area. Our kids like the horse-themed water play area and it is near a bus stop. I am sure we will have a view of the THV again.

The Podcast Crew commented on the Fort Wilderness cabins. We stayed there last year and LOVED it!!! We rented a golf cart. The kids had so much fun just driving around the resort and exploring. :thumbsup2 We definitely plan to return.

(FYI - The fire extinguisher for the Fort Wilderness cabin was under the sink in the kitchen.)

You would have plenty of room with 4 people. With 9 it would be real chummy.

With in-laws, 9 would be our party's size and I'd consider staying there since the 2 bedroom villas elsewhere only allow 8. We don't have grand villa money. Of course, I don't see anything anywhere regarding the cost per night to stay at the Treehouses so the price could be just as high.:confused3

It costs the same as a two-bedroom at SSR. I know because we have one reserved for December-Yeah!
